We need a special force at the national level to compact terrorism. Unless there is proper intelligence wing in the national and states level, these things will go on. Here even when the Ahmedabad city was put on high alert, the police couldnt prevent 17 (or 25?) explosions across the city. It points to the failure of current system. We require people who are specialised, a special federal investigating agency.

MMS govt have been pressing for this at least for last months and it didnt progress mainly because of the opposition from NDA chief ministers. The reasons i dont know. At least now they should agree.

The N-deal fiasco was first blamed on the Left, and then without any consensus or agreements MMS did forge ahead with the N-deal... didn't he? And you labelled him a HERO...
So what happened to this fabulous Special Force initiative?.... Proving he's a big ZERO by inventing excuses this time around for not being able to curb terrorist activities?... :-)

you didnt come out of the nuc deal yet??? people have seen through it and except some hard bjp/cpm people all others are fully supportive of this deal across India and in fact they have seen the real face of some "nationalist" leaders who are in fact pseudos...

All Right This is your exact problem and your party. Instead of finding a solution, you are more interestd in whether MMS is HERo or ZERO. For your knowledge, this is a constitutional thing. If the CMs oppose and go to the court, no MMS will be able to do something. And you must understand that to sign somehing like nuc deal you dont have to prove any majority/minority in parliament. MMS did it because he was starightforward and honest! Vajpayee never did it when he himself declared/signed Tibet as part of China and moratorium on nuc tests. You must know these things!!
For a concept like Federal Agency to be formed, the state govts has to agree.

Since you are introducing facts and figures not germane to the issue and proving State govt is incompetent (which by the way makes you as guilty as anybody else for not trying to find a solution, but blaming the State governments..:-)
