Really it is a very sad day for CPI-M. It was to be done as Dr.Singh had done a very good job. India need N-deal by all means. Kudos to Dr.Singh and Co. Er.Ahmad Rais Siddiqi(Alig) New Delhi E mail; araissiddiqi@rediffmail.com

when you see USA and its allies dump bad stuff for our Nuclear needs and make our power per unit very very expensive, these ropgues such as MMS,Sonia,Lallu,Pallu..moolayam....broker amarsingh all will be not in picture and we have to fight with the then govt. Those aam aadhmi who supported the deal now will shed blood from their eyes to foot their power bill.

We will not be limited to the US for supplies; there will be other suppliers; and we will also be developing our Thorium resources. At least we will move ahead at a fast pace with rest of the world.

There is no alternative to nuclear power. We will be done with our coal reserves by 2040. Initially nuclear energy will be expensive but in medium term and long term we will have enough uranium to fire our thorium reactors, which we can not have without the deal. We have the largest reserves of thorium in the world which can make us much less dependant on nuclear fuel from abroad.

It will take over 10 years before you will see the power. MMS might have been dead by then, who care? they made their 20% of 230billion...
