To people from Bengal - I am very curious to know how the left is winning continously for 35 years despite a very bad governance. I am very curious to know what is it that is getting people to vote for them continously. Is there at least no anti incumbency etc. Inspite of disasters like Nandigram they have done well in Panchayat polls. Can somebody from Bengal throw some light on this please.
-thanks

in 60's and 70" bengal was the hub of indusries
when commn. regime take over from congress, due to over activation of citu and intuc all the industries shifted to other states or closed, inspite of that commn. are winning for last 35 years it is amazing.

Left in power often behave like fascists.People really suspect some "scientific vote rigging".

Bengal "communist heaven on earth", is one of the backward state in India
