We have enough people from Kerala from cummunist Kyarla selling tea, repairing a/c fridges exta with their Gulf experience in Karnataka, especially Bangalore. They do not have anything to do in Kerala most of them in Bangalore here are like poor immigrants to us. God knows what happens to these people once the call centre and software boom dies. God save God's own country people.

Please don't worry about others so much.Even under the rule of communists keralites have survived and are flourishing, what would have been your condition. The people whom you see as running Tea shops and bakeries are among the lowest strata of kerala, so it shows they are also surviving by their own means. But what about the poor in your state. And regarding software boom your state has more to worry about if that dies out and not kerala

Kerala is a small state, with much of the population educated and industrious. Thats why U find Keralites everywhere. (May it be tea shops in Karanataka or the bakeries in or the director board of best forms in the world). Both Left and congress have ruled kerala for almost equal period of times. So you cant blame the communists alone for the lack of growth. People of Kerala has survived even before the call center/software boomeed, and will surely survive. We will find new Vistas and areas. Its not a question of region/state. People and the progress of the nation matters. And not the dirty politicians.

Kerala is the first place in the whole world where the communists came to power through
ballot and not bullet/bloodshed. It was the people of kerala that voted the communists to
power. People admired the communist leaders & their ideologies which they took to their
heart annd voted these communists to power. Leaders like EMS Namboodiripad, AK Gopalan, EK
Nayanar are still admired by the people of Kerala. I agree that the communist pary in
Kerala lacks such ideological leaders now. The role of the communsit party in bringing
Educational and social reforms in Kerala is unquestionable. Come to gods own country, you wont find any caste based oppression or caste based politics as you find in many other parts of India.
It is the well informed people who decide whom they should put in power. Its not the money from real estate goons or the miners that decide the fate of the elections here. The people matter here and they wont allow the politicians to make a buffoonery of the electoral process with the sort of political trading that even a Bellary buffalo trader wont resort to. Its not that Kerala vote blindly to put communists to power and want a govt like in China or N Korea, where . People have faith in the most ( not all ) of the social and political ideologies of the left and beleive that these can make a difference. They prefer change through a democratic left and not a anti-establistment left like the Naxalites or the Maoists.
