we really want nuclear power???
by nimit patel on Jul 17, 2008 10:04 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

i had like to ask u certain question

1) when we will get electricity from this nuclear dear ?? its 2022
2) How much cost we need to do for make 15 reactor and plant ??? its 25,00,000 crore
3) How much % of GDP for next 15 yrs indian govt will transfer for this dear ?? Yearly 7%...

4) Why US and Europe using nuclear power ?? because theya re getting sun light for around 4 hours at 20 degree tempreture for jsut 150 days a year..

5) Why india not requried nuclear enegry for power.?? because india is getting at least 8 hours sunlight for 300 days in a year and at 35 degree tempreture..

6) How much solar penal cost for getting 3 unit of electricity which is avg consumption of indian house hold..?? a person required 10 sq ft solar penal to get 4 unit electricty from solar energy daily.. and it cost around 70000.

7) If govt want to make 10 cr house with solar penals by giving 50% subsidy it means 35000 how much it will cost.. ??? It will cost 10 cr X 35000 Rs = 3,50,000 cr and 10 cr family means at least 40 cr people..

8) when u can get solar energy ?? next day from installation.. till next 10 yrs..

9) 3000 km long sea cost can use for tidle energy as well as wind farm..

why govt not looking at this things???

we are looking at 2022 but what ab economy when crude will be 200 dollar,..???

Mr. Patel all this is easier said than done. Now just go out, do you see the sun? Just switch off the electric mains and start using sunlight for power. Do we use atleast a solar water heater or cooker, is it easily available are they efficient and maintenance free? Practicability of anything has to be thought of.

i think u are not watching discovery ever??? if u were then buddy u will not ask such a silly question...

Yeah... Nuclear power production will double soon... .

Everyone will be given 1 gram of Uranium .... keep it in your pocket, and light up your household... :-)

Just pulling your leg, by the way... for the phenomenal announcement made by you... don't bother to reply to this light hearted tongue-in-cheek humor from me

Even in Gujarat, their power dependence is totally skewed on natural gas. Oil price has peaked and now will retreat. Speculators have identified natural gas for a bull run. So Gujus may need to actually invest and maintain a 10 sq ft solar panel to power their household needs. Industry etc will go foe a toss

Who told you that we get power only in 2022? That perhaps are fresh capacities coming on -stream post deal.

India's already invested huge capacities that are operating less than 50% for want of uraniuum fuel and spares. Soon after the deal, we can increase capacity utilization rate to around 75-80% at least which means more power availability.

We are allowed to trade in the nuclear market after the deal. So we can aim to get a slice of this lucrative nuclear market generating huge revenues that can close our balance of trade gap which is increasing due the oil price shock.

Renewable energy is not commercially viable and besides do not provide high scale of power generation. Tidal energy etc remain experimental .

The very fact that MMS is looking at 2022 and beyond indicates he is a man of vision unlike Advani who cannot look beyond grabbing the PMs chair!

do u know indian power sector scenario ??? why are talking just this and that..???

indian is using 75% thermal power.. then comes 12% hydro power and then in other 13% nuclear and all other enegry..

even increase in cpacity will serve u jsut 6-7% in india..

and who told u that u cant use natural energy in commerical way??? right now indian house hold using around 48% electrivity.. and we can save that by natural energy ... that saving will help to carry on present energy to commerical...

"man of vision" or "Puppet with vision" ???

looks very funny when some1 praises MMS and supports deal ignoring the (unexplained) consequences and the suspicious way the 'deal' is handled!!!

I am sorry adguru admits in a posting earlier

"but there are ppl like you and me who don't know anything about the 'deal' and mostly have doubts...."

So if you don't know anything about the deal than you are not in a position to know what and where the consequence is!
