Who told you that we get power only in 2022? That perhaps are fresh capacities coming on -stream post deal.
India's already invested huge capacities that are operating less than 50% for want of uraniuum fuel and spares. Soon after the deal, we can increase capacity utilization rate to around 75-80% at least which means more power availability.
We are allowed to trade in the nuclear market after the deal. So we can aim to get a slice of this lucrative nuclear market generating huge revenues that can close our balance of trade gap which is increasing due the oil price shock.
Renewable energy is not commercially viable and besides do not provide high scale of power generation. Tidal energy etc remain experimental .
