People had great expectations of Dr. MMS, but he has failed his admireres like me. I thought he would be a statesman, but he has turned out to be no more than a politician. He has defended the allotment of gas to defunct company for the sake of the coalition, he played the communal card by promising special treatment for minorities (read Muslims) and implying that it was somehow the fault of the majority community that Muslims have not progressed. So, how was he different from the series of very ordinary PMs that we have had since Mrs Indira Gandhi? He has been pathetic, even if we grant that coalition is not an easy situation to handle. One hoped that he will gaind in stature and provide the leadership that will forge coalition of different ideologies into an instrument that will make India truly a democracy in which people of all hues participate, but it has been a government of disparate elements pulling in different directions, in which nothing of substance got done. Only redeeming feature has been that a so far buoyant economy enabled the government to spend freely and make a show of progress.

Congress is a minority appeasement party. It doesnt act opon islamic terrorists. The nuclear deal may be signed even afterwards. But if the life goes by this no action on terrorists, the life cannot be brought back. So the congress is more dangerous to the nation than the benifits from nuclear deal. Therefore the congress must go first.

My dear Sethu Bala Raman, we are snowed under corruption, where is the questions of differentiating corruption into major and minor? The entire system is rotten and everyone in it (of course, with some exceptions) are corrupt. Therefore, it is like a water supply system that leaks at every joint. All are minor leaks, but in the end, nothing comes out of the tap. Take for example the farmers' loan waiver. If the crops are good, the consumer prices for farm commodities are high, then why is agriculture a lossmaking activity. That is because what the trader gets from consumer is princely and what he pays the farmer is a pittance, so the Rs 60000 crores that the trade has already siphoned off is now being paid out of our tax money by the FM and projecting the government as pro-farmer. What can be a greater fraud than that. Why does the government fix support prices so low? To enable the traders to purchase grain at a little higher to compete with government agencies and sell at a great profit margin. A government beholden to traders cannot be honest. What bigger fraud do you expect?

Major corruption of MMS is allocation of 60000/- crores farm loan waiver. This money is being used by the congie workers only. Very few farmers are getting it is reality. See the news, every day even now farmers are suiciding in Karnataka.
