You are talking about History. I will tell you the present.
Go to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and you will find how everyday Shias and Sunnis are killing each other. You will find how Hindus are tortured in these Muslim countries. Also you will find how muslims keeps 4 or 5 wives at a time in these countries.
Remember, I am talking about present not the HISTORY.

Topno, U Failed again. The killing in these places orginated by whom?? who is inciting them?? About wives I am not sure their custom & tradition have not heard and it cant be true else our countries girls are sent their because once she born in majority followings religious sect she becomes burden on parents as well as on society. About u looks results of punctured condom becasue of ur mantility?

Devrata@Your own scriptures speak of polygamy, you can find many instances. As for present day, hindus are more bigamous than muslims based on their population only thing is they hide the fact.I Dont find it any wrong in bigamy and i consider it as a solution. Yes it is a God given right but to those who can sustain multiple wives and for your KIND INFO islam is the only religion which prescribes ONE MARRIAGE ...no other faith does it.
Can you show where Hindus point to their religious texts and say that those should be the basis of secular law?
Hindus have accepted the secular civil code, and bigamy is an offense. There may be individual cases, but that does not invalidate the fact that Hindus have progressive ideals, just like a few murders do not prove that murder is not recognised as a great crime.
Compare this attitude to Muslims, who insist on having their personal law according to Sharia, rather than a uniform civil code.
If you see nothing wrong in bigamy, you should see nothing wrong in bi-andry either.
If Islam prescribes one marriage, why do Muslims not agitate to have this prescription followed, by accepting a uniform civil code?

And are you saying that if Muslim men were not allowed 4 wives, they would feel compelled to go to prostitutes?
