Proud Indian

Dear All,

I've been reading all comments from past couple of days regarding amarnath land row. Before we comment we should know the fact before us. What I understand from my Kashmiri friends is that they are not against hindus in general and amarnath yatra in particular. SInce generations, Kashmiris have been providing shelter and food to the yatris and they say that they gonna continue with that for years to come. They think that Kashmir is a disputed territory in the UN and needs to be resolved as early as possible. It was even accepted by the 1st PM of India Mr. Nehru that Kashmiri's have their own right to freedom and he also advocated in knowing the opinion of Kashmiris as to whether they want to be a part of India or Pakistan or want an independant state. That right has not yet been given to the Kashmiris till today.

Iam not a Kashmiri and neither in support of any group which plans to harm my country-India. I see a lot of hatred against Islam whether it is related to Islam or not. My fellow Indians lets not disrespect any religion. Lets live peacefully as indians and contribute to the nation with our intellect. Remember peace cannot prevail unless we go to the roots of the problems of individuals and try to solve them through negotiations and not by force.

Any comments??

No. 1: UN reference you are talking about is superceded by Shimla agreement belween Kasmiris and Indian Govt as per which Kashmir, including the part occupied by Pakistan, is a part of India like other states.

No. 2: We respect every religion including Islam. However it is your own people who are bringing bad name to your religion and you should shun these goons & terrorists with full strength and declare them Non-religious.

No. 3 Coming to the present land row, please note that land was not being given to any ousider. it was being given to the trust/board of the shrine for managing the facilities better. Land is not a movable item that it could be taken to some other part of India. So clearly in this case so called muslims have hurt the sentiments of Hindus and and shown their communal intentions. Though we also believe that that the people have been mislead by separatists/terrorists who get enough of money from Pakistan to keep their shop running. But doesn't the good sense prevail upon the the genuine secular muslims.

Last but not least we can't forget that 18 years back Hindus were forced to leave valley by these people.

Mr Sanjay, what is the status of Shimla agrrement which we are talking about now? Has that been implemented so far?? Its our indian culture to show tolerance to others. Its there in our blood. We get carried away by few politicians who can go to any extent to get power. Shame on them. At the same time we should also be shameful for electing such politicians. Nevertheless, I dont consider any person terrorising innocents as Muslim. Islam does not preach hatred. No religion for that matter preaches hatred. Every religion preaches love, love and only love to fellow citizens. If you recall last month there was a gathering of Muslim religious scholars in Delhi to awaken the muslim youth not to take up arms and denounce terrorism in whatever capacity we can. We Muslims are tired of such acts of others who in the name of Islam bring bad name to the community. There are black sheeps in every community. We cannot blame the religion just by watching what few people in that religion does. To know the religion and its teachings, we should go back to the sacred scriptures.

what will you say about the millions of kashmiri Hindhus butchered and driven away by the hardcore islamists??????

Answer me. You seem to be a moderate muslim. WHy dont you people drive away those hard core muslims? do you want to live in the living conditions like afgan and pak(with out food to eat)?

answer me, this is the question of an average hindhu , who is enraged by these bloody protests by muslims against the land transfer to Amarnath.

With allmHe2r respect I feel the pain caused to you. At the same time were there not Muslims being killed in valley since 1947? Again iam appealing to everybody that hatred cannot be killed by hatred. Its love and brotherhood that will kill hatred. Let us come up of these issues and live peacefully and amicably as indians and help in the building of a strong Indian nation which we all can be proud of and we leave a peaceful place to live for our next generation.

Iam not a preacher. Whatever ;imited knowledge I have by God's grace I say. I've been hurt by such comments where you guys dont go deep in knowing the truth and comment on whatever u see superficially. Lets not get carried away by such things. God has given us intellect. Lets use it in good ways and helping others rather than harming others.

you are saying very right but its totally a theoretical concept among your people..... they have been provided with all the freedom from constitution... laws...etc but still they are not happy
1) no subsidy is provided to any hindu or sikh for any pilgremage and money which they are saving from it... going directlly in the hands of terrst
2) all the family planning laws are applicable to hindus only.... where as in our religion also its no where mentioned that we have to use condoms or other measures
3) atrocities on muslim culprits are very easily adn quickly critcized by the celebreties like sabana and batts but same happinig to hindus is gets a mentioned
$) And bal thackrey ( what i know) never says that remove musllims he only asks for ther removal of anti indians.......and by your gods grace your people outnumbers others... and you feel yourself pointed...
and do reply for yur mindblowing increase in populatin,,, whether its from bangladesh or from here only......

Hidayathulla Wonderfully balanced view till I started reading between the lines .
I agree with you that the issue has nothing to do with the Yatra or actaully Hindus.
But what your Kashmiri friends would find difficult to accept India ( unlike Pakistan ) is a a highly diverse country . Every other day you cannot let groups, religious or otherwise, choose whether they would like to be a part of India or not . That way my country and your country would die in installments .
Since you gone back to 1947 , how come you have missed the most important issue of that year . India was broken up into Islamic Pakistan and Secular India . Not into Islamic Pakistan and Hindu India . That being the case we dont give any relevence to the religious faith of any region. The country cannot allow Muslims in Kashmir to break away or Sikhs in Punjab to so or even for Hindu ULFA to break away or Christian Nagaland to break away!
Nehru was a bumbling fool ... who rarely ever cared for India and was less committed to India than he was to Lady Mountbatton . His opinion does not count.
Yes there is hatred to Islam on this board . That is deplorable since, sense will tell us that Islam has little to do with conflicts that are driven by politicians for thier own selfish gains.
However when it comes to respect I remember being taught in high school that Respect is something you can command not demand .
Let us work to ensure that our faith is able to command respect.
