exellent move by the goverment.Hurting the sentiment of other is not the literary work.writer binds the heart of people not bleed.where is the religious tolerance slogan of French revolution?

M.F.Hussain was appreciated by Indian government and Mostly by Hindus. Muslims never, never support any artist who make nude pictures who ever it may be. Lastly I will say if he did wrong he should be booked under the law and punished. Whoever says that Muslims or Islam permits such action is a fool. Go and read about Islam and its teaching.

The point is not about what Islam permits or what Hinduism permits. Indian law and constitution comes first. And they permit freedom of speech. Period. Therefore both Hussain and Taslima should be protected from fundamentalists. Similarly everyone should have full freedom to protest against their offensive work - as long as it is peaceful and doesn't violate the law
