The point is not about what Islam permits or what Hinduism permits. Indian law and constitution comes first. And they permit freedom of speech. Period. Therefore both Hussain and Taslima should be protected from fundamentalists. Similarly everyone should have full freedom to protest against their offensive work - as long as it is peaceful and doesn't violate the law
