I wonder whether u hv seen the serial INDUS VALLEY TO INDIRA GANDHI produced by Govt. of India. This serial narrates the story of India's journey through thousands of years. Significantly, while describing events of post-independence India, the serial almost apologetically states the the Govt. put in more resources in already developed for better returns withing a short time with a view to generate more resources which could be used elsewhere. This is what resulted in regional imbalance and backwardness of the region u refer to as BIMARU. But for such skewed distribution of resources, cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai would have been truly BIMAR and there would have been no BIMARU region in India. I am not saying what the Govt. did was wrong. All I want to tell u is that u shd know things before condescending. Do not get carried away by what Raj says. He is either a stupid uneducated brat or is an irresponsible leader seeking to garner votes at ALL COSTS.

Wait a minute the political "idiots" of north India for last 60 who ran the mattle of India were in fact trying to slavgae Mumabi? Are you kidding me? The fact of the matter is the industries which were built my Britishers and then "grabbed" by Gujjus, Parsis and Marwaris has nothing to do with Govt policies of center. A govt till today has no solution for Kashimir, North east India, every dick and harry on this plnet claims Indian territories. Cmon pinhead look around and see the reality and then put your pee wee brain to work. All the international companies which are based in Mumbai are foreign companies. The textile mills were eastablished by britishers, they left then Gujju Baniya grabbed it. A simple fact of Indian business life is that you take any Marwari, Gujju or Punjabi baniya they don't create business they copy and theive businesses. Have you seen one visionary businessman of repute from these "baniya" clan none,,Zero.Somebody creates wealth and gets rich is not a businessman, he is a baniya who is out their for a buck. India has no single product in the world market which can compete or claim that it's Indian.

Oh! U r so ill informed. Do read some history and investment pattern and related Govt. policies in independent India. If only u people did some reading, this forum wd hv been a much better place. U guys spend all yr energy in abusing each other. Why cannot u go to some library and do some serious reading. There are quite a few of them. I hv lived in this great city at some point of time. And for God's sake try to b an Indian and not north, south or some other kind of Indian.

Ashish = are you kidding ? Developed states like Punjab, Andhra, Tamil Nadu is annoyed that though they generate the most revenue, during allocation time major funds are given to BIMARU States.
