Please make a note of these things when you qoute from Quran. Read or Place the complete Verse and not the parts of verses. The Compelte verse is this: Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." 8:12 Now YOu can undesrstand it better. Allah said this to the angles. This was not instruction to Muslims at the Venue. It was Venue of Battle of Badr where 319 Muslims were fighting 1000 strong enemy's army. 319 people even did'nt had proper amunation with them. Allah Sent 1000 Angels for help(Verse 8:09) . Are you expecting a verse like Kiss the unbelivers..Hug them...bow before them..express your love... If you cite a verse outof context this is what it will lead you..
