Mumbai has developed and has contributed to development of maharashtra (and to lesser extent of india) and it is not otherwise. it is people from all over India and the regions where the actual industries are located (whose offices are in mumbai) that have lead to ALL the positive that is in Mumbai. It is sad thing that the very people who have worked and suffered hard have been sidelined and are being treated this way. Mumbai belongs to every Indian (because every indian has contributed to its development directly or idirectly ) and nobody (or community) can deny this. No State or city can say that they just want to use other states (or regions) people for development and not give anything in return.

You are telling this to your indian brother and not an invader. Dude cities are centres of trade, Look at san francisco or new york , or paris , london, do you think these folks were born and brought up in london or in silicon valley. They came they changed the face of the city and they stayed. It is the responsible of the respective goverments to maintain law and order and to ensure that the movement of people results in betterment of every one. Blaming few guys who move from other parts for a living is lack of self respect and ignorance of what cities are all about
