The whole issue was instigated by Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi. His statment that he wants to have Hindi mandatory in Mumbai BMC and that they will use force and drive away marathis from the BMC. He also made inflammatory statements about using lathis. Mumbai is a capital of Maharastra and its official language is Marathi.These kinda statments from a party which does not exist in Maharastra is uncalled for. It would definately upset the local population and political parties, imagine marathis gathering in a lucknow rally and making speeches to throw these bhayyas , biharis from rulling their state and making use of marathi mandatory in lucknow govt offices. Ask these parties to make a statement in kolkatta, chennai and see how locals react. For more details watch the CNN IBN Abu Amzi rally video.
The MNS vs SP fight which initially started took a bad turn and media reported it as marathis vs north indians. Media in India nowdays are baised and dont show the true picture. They showed MNS and Raj as a villian. Why these news channel didnt show the Abu Azmi rally speech ? Ask any north indian living in mumbai, have they been threatened. No because Mumbai is a peaceful city and those living in this city can understand.Mumbai has always welcome anyone and everyone from all the part of the country.

i agree with you.No work is small or big.Migrants work extra hours to get recognition.And when it comes to work the so called Marathi Manus will ask their boses 'Tu kone'(who are you to give me an order).guys just dont forget that when you are in a foreign country you are Indian and not mararastrian,bihari etc.i strongly believe that job or studies,the entry should only be based on MERIT.

well i am a maharashtrian and sometimes feel that the media is not truely talking on one important aspect. there has been a high immigration rate (in numbers too) to maharashtra than any other state in the country. in such a scenario what a marathi manoss like me want is security. has any media talked about the social and economic results of the north indian inflow in maharashtra. has anyone seen the fact that by percentage of their numbers he gundas in maharashtras jails are north indians. well there has to be some control. well to many people this may sound extremist but today what we marathi people need is a real leader who cares for us. and media they are biased because they are controlled majorly by north indians and so they didnt even raise the issue of maharashtrians loosing jobs to outsiders. instead the media thinks marathi manoos as just a vote bank and nothing more.

All the supporters of secularism should realise that the right to freedom has also the duty not to deprive others of their right to survival.....indirectly, migrating en masse without proper autghorisation and approval of thge host states or employment offers to earn livelihood without the approval of the local people are to be declared illegal.
The respective CMs and Governors of the state/states involved in this migration depriving citizens of other states are to be proceeded against legally or morally and pulled down from their seats of power.
They are non performers....and such should be relieved of their poosts as they are voted by the same people who are going through this struggle. Getting voted into seats and throwing such people's survival into other states is a disqualification.
But if a state needs work force for any of their projects they can be regularly recruited through the respective employment exchanges and allowed to take up labour oriented jobs after clearance from the local people and their minister of rural employment.
I hope Indian thinkers will think about this and support this kinbd of rat
