dont understand this needless controversy....the kashmiri leaders and kashmiris have been ensuring that the yatra is carried peacfully every year without any trouble...
the local adm goes to many lengths to facilitate yatra and they are promising to continue to do the same....
what do these silly protesters want to gain by having the land writtn in their name on a useless piece of govt land record...
the same land is always available for their use every year

Why they cannot give 100 acres land to a hindu shrine? this is outright discrimination of Hindus by the J&K govt.

Kiran - firstly land was not for the shrine. Secondly - it was the JK govt that granted the land - and then they revoked it - a political masterclass from GN Azad and Mufti. Yatris had never requested land - BJP and RSS and the local parties are milking the issue for votes. I have been a Yatri three times - am very grateful to the hospitality of Kashmiri muslims but Kashmiri politicians both the mainstream and sepratist - are filthy corrupt ungrateful creatures of the lowest order.

So what exactly is your point? The land was requested by the Jammu and Kashmir government appointed Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and was alloted and indeed transferred to the board after all legal and statutory procedures had been completed. And you don't see any thing troublesome in the sudden cancellation of the allotment. Having been a "Yatri three times" you should at least be aware that it is not for the Yatris are not in a position to request/demand land or other facilities but it the responsibility of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to ensure the provision of necessary facilities. Incidentally do you know what happens to the income from the shrine? One presumes that You a "three time yatri" especially when yatra are so limited went there as a pilgrim and not as a tourist (ie you did make an offering at the shrine).
