No one can escape death in this world, be rationalist or believer. If people pray to God to make them live more than their destiny is written, then it is foolishness. Such people need not call themselves as believers.

gods have never saved anyone by physically airlifting anyone from trouble.
besides, let these hapless folks believe in something to lighten their burden. if everyone where atheists thet'd fall prey to some other rumour based movement or something else where someone would profess to give infinite power or happiness.
this was the conclusion of a group studying on atheists and believers - conclusion atheists forming a group are equally dangerous or frivolous as believers of some sect or deity or saint!

U hv little knowledge of theology and human devotion.It is faith which motivates people. A terrorist suicide bomber kills himself because he has faith that he will get Jannat if he sacrifices himself. U decide for yourself whether such actions r right or wrong.
