A Hindu man who married a Muslim girl was beheaded after a kangaroo court ordered his 'execution' at a village in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.
The villagers did not allow the man's hapless wife to approach the police for a fortnight.
The police said today that the girl Munera Bibi from Lakshanpur village met and fell in love with Shailendra Prasad from Bihar while she was working as a maid servant in Mumbai. They got married two and half years ago and the girl is now the mother of a 10-month-old child.
Religion was never a problem for the couple until she came to her own village in the district on July 1 with her husband who concealed his religious identity under the name Munna Sheikh.
But soon the girl's father Ansaria Sheikh became suspicious of his son-in-law's religion on July 14 and reported this to village elders. A 'salishi' (kangaroo court) comprising 22 members summoned Prasad and discovered his true religious identity. He was awarded 'death sentence', sources said.
On July 17 the man's beheaded body was found in a gunny bag in a jute field but as there was no complaint, the police failed to identify the person, the sources said.
Ten days later, the girl, her mother and brother went to Behrampore police station and lodged a formal complaint after which the incident came to light.
The police said three perons have been arrested in this connection.

of the common man.
incidence like this also happen in up villages when girl marry boy from different caste.

by donning a hindu name you cannot conceal your identity. your mind needs thourough wash as it is compltely intoxicated by moslem fundamental mullahs. the great hindu religeon suffered at the hands of the barbaric muslim rulers. they destroyed temples and educaion. the so called muslims were descendants of those embraced islam at the point of swords.

We should never forget a plain demographic reality. At present those who enjoyed slave like status under the Majority Religion are counted as members of that Religion in the Official Statistics of India.
The day that Indian Demographic Statistics become more Scientific, the Majority will retrospectively become Minority.
We should not squeeze the Majority Minority ideas too much. Self Realization of true status is the first step to Empowerment !

There is persistent confusion between the actions of a Religion, and the actions of those who happen to be of that Religion.
The people who beheaded, etc., were obviously very ignorant, with lot of superstitions, and easily misled. They were probably very poor. I believe that it is illogical to demand responsible behavior of a person brought up in such conditions. It is more logical to condemn the Society that forces some members to live in such conditions.
Their actions need not be seen in a Religious light. They are not the organized, educated, well informed representatives of their Religion.
Responsible, logical actions are what Society has a right to expect of those for whom the Society has arranged reasonable protection, well being, etc. If an extremely poor man kills someone, then regardless of motive or circumstance he should be immune from punishment. At the most we should take preventive action against repetition, but should not condemn him or imply that he did wrong. If some "well fed" person sent him to do the murder, it is that second person who should hang and not the one who actually killed.
Right and Wrong begin after the stomach is full, not when it is empty.
Ignorant, deprived, narrow minded people can be of any Religion, and their actions can be very bad, but it has little to do with the Religion.
Rather we should try to identify those behind such things, who try to exploit such people for their own narrow ends.

A hindu youth set to balze in BEHRAMPORE ( west bengal) and another was beheaded in Murshidabad by Muslims. This is hindus condition in India.
Govt does not protect nor media highlights such news. 30 million bengali hindus were butchered during partition and same is now waiting in West Bengal.
