'People living in Karnataka should learn Kannada'.I Feel not required.People living in India should learn Hindi first.Kannada should be inside the 4 walls of a house.India first then karnataka.I 've been asked by many that u r going to stay in Karnataka,U should learn kannada or else I dont have the right to stay in Karnataka.I asked the same gentleman Do u know Hindi,he answered me NO.Then I told him U even do not have the right to stay in INDIA.
What I feel is the tolerance level in Kannadigas is hitting rockbottom.Software jobs are majority held by North Indians,Lavish lifestyles by techies is another point of contention among Kannadigas.Coming to KRV these people only know how vandalise because of helplessness that's in their blood. These people cannot come up with constructive ideas.Any tiff on road with localite who is on wrong side, to coverup his deed will ask the other guy to speak in kannada, which is a back step for outsiders. If localites use language as a shield and get protected by KRV & Police, Then I don't require this language to be learnt or loved.

Why should one learn Hindi. It is not the local language of several states of the country. What do you have to say?

People like you who talk about regional divide and language differences are anti-nationals.

Mind your words Mr. Dev Singh! People like you who simply cannot accept the fact that Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam or, for that matter, the non Indo-Aryan languages spoken in the Northeast are national languages of India as well as much as Hindi, and that Hindi has no exclusive or superior claim as a national Indian language, actually betray an extremely intolerant, antinational mindset themselves. And, by the way, did you actually ever ask yourself why the vast majority of antinational elements (incl. many terrorists, communal trouble makers etc.) are native Hindi speakers or native speakers of other Indo-Aryan languages that are closely related to Hindi/Sanskrit? For your kind information, in my personal experience, many villagers in Karnataka, A.P., Kerala or T.N. who have only very rudimentary Hindi knowledge or none at all are in fact far greater Indian patriots than many of their compatriots who speak Hindi and other Indo-Aryan languages fluently. Remember that ACTIONS always speak louder than words, regardless of the language in which they are uttered (=spoken). I therefore feel that it is totally wrong to judge a person's patriotic attitude to India by whether he/she speaks Hindi or not.

Hi, u are creating hue and cry for learning Hindi. Ask to your heart, why others should learn your language (mothertongue). Hindi have been imposed by the Govt. as National Language by voting and who voted. It was some foolish M.P. mostly north indian. This has been well-understood by all and sundry as because some people are conscious nowadays. Majority should not always prevail upon minority all the time. What is wrong in learing Kannada or other languages. Being an educated person if you quarrel on this trivial things then what can we expect from other fellow countrymen who could not afford to educate themselves. Why a Govt. should spend taxpayers money to educate citizen of a country to learn Hindi--- is it not foolishness. Everybody should be on equal footing. U being a Northindian does not require time to learn Hindi but we need to learn Hindi-- spending our precious time. Why should we learn Hindi. What is the problem in making English as National Language so that all can be kept on equal footing. Invest your time in learing English and we also do the same and there will be no problem whatsoever. Lastly please donot ever blame Kannadigas for their tolerance. I being non-Kannadigas know them very well. I have seen them, mixed with them and found that they are most tolerant people in this India and that is why Bangalore is the best.

north indians attitude towards regional languages is well known.thats why Raj Thackrey is doing absolutely right thing by kicking out northys from maharashtra.KRV should do the same thing in karnataka. Not even a single IT firm is ready to open shop in bihar,up,mp.First give respect to local culture, language wherever u live then talk about first india then state.

We south Indians need not learn Hindi, Your hindi Bhai's think that your hindi is greater than other language, but for we Kannadings it is not. For us all the Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada are National languages. Your political leaders tries to implement hindi on South Indian people. Your hindi people getting nicely at Mumbai from Shivsena, one day your people get the same treatment from Kannadigas also if you try to propgate your hindi in Bangalore. You do not get good job in your States like UP, Bihar and migrate towards South India. But your weakest point is, you do not learn local language but try to teach hindi to the local people one day it will back fire you. Do not try to propagate your hindi in TN, they will kick you out from TN.

Going by ur argument, people who doesn't know English (especially Northies) r unfit to live in this world as Emglish is considered to be international language & can be understood by more people than Hindi. Hindi is a nascent language whereas southern languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam r more than 1000 years old & have their own tradition & beauty. First let your Hindi brethern learn English otherwise leave this world.

You are fit to stay in Pakistan, because you do not respect the other Indian Languages other than Hindi. Sorry for your poor knowledge that Kannada is spoken inside the 4 walls, Please update your knowledge that Kannada is spoken by 5.5 crores of people of Karnataka. Kannada is the administration language of Karnataka Government and Compulsory in Schools of Karnatka. Kannadigas are well educted people and lots of Kannadigas are working as Doctors, Scientists, Software Engieers in USA. You think Northis are working as Software Engineers in Bangalore, because they do not have the talent to go and work in USA.

You should know that the ex-CM of karnataka Mr.Dharam Singh's ancestors came from rajasthan but they associated themselves with Kannada culture and became part of it.

People talking national and regional languages are worst than terrorists.
