Here is news from our religion:

Fundamentalist Latter-day Saints (FLDS) is again a new branch in Christianity. There self proclaimed prophet, Warren Jeffs was on the top of FBI list, now arrested. There were lot of shameful activities going on within this cult.

The Family International is again a new cult in Christianity!

Also disturbing, former members who spoke witnessed Ricky Rodriguez having illegal relationship with his mother, Karen Zerby, the leader of the sect now known as "The Family International."

The sect's activities and history are detailed in a newly released book, "Jesus Freaks." The sect was founded in California in the 1960s by David Berg, who referred to himself as "Mo," short for Moses. Berg was a self-proclaimed prophet. Rodriguez, who escaped from "The Family International" in 2001.

FLDS are not Christians. You are mistaken.

These are cults made by Satan to negate the saviour. Cults like Mormons/FamilyIntern/Islam all were made to deny the Lord's sacrifice they are the work of Satan.

Mr. Lotan Potan, is there something contradictory in a father sending his "only begotten son" to save the mankind from his own fury? That too for something purported to have been done by the first humanbeings (Adam and Eve) created by him?

Why even educated persons like you want to stick to the outdated religius dogmas? Neither there is any god nor any heaven/hell. Every thing ends here. So be good to our fellow humanbeings.

Avinash, for a crime committed by you, the Court of Law would be right in exacting its punishment on you!! But because the Judge (God) is a God of Love and also a God who is not Corrupt but absolutely JUST, He would have to punish the sin (our failure to live up to His Commands). So He demonstrates His Love by sending His Son (who is Sinless and the only replacement) to take the punishment that was due unto us. You failed to meet the mark and He bore the punishment of it.
Here's what was written (Prophecied)about the Savior 500 yrs before His birth and its recorded in the Book of Isaiah 53, verse 5 to verse 10
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: whe

Dude, do you really think that this FLDS sect which has a "prophet" born in the 1800s, will be accepted by true Christianity?

That's the difference. They say FLDS was inspired by Islam.

Besides polygamy in Islam is as old as the Quran itself.

why do you pretend to be very educated on this subject, when in fact your ignorance is very blatantly clear. FLDS is no Christian Cult, and although they masquerade as a Christian outfit, they are poles apart in the belief system. Their revelation to Joseph Smith is recorded in their holy book called"Pearls of Great Wisdom" are laden with doctrines absolutely contrary to the teaching of Jesus.
And NO Christianity is absolutely against any form of polygamy. If there is one World View that comes strongly against polygamy it would be the teaching of Jesus Christ. Read the Book of Mathew, Chapter 19, Verse 12.
Mathew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Your absolutely right Avinash, unfortunately when Christians have chosen violence, they have gone completely in contrary to the teaching of Jesus.
Mathew Chapter 26, verse 52 reads as
Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword
then again in Mathew chapter 5, verse 43 we read
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
I would say if you judge Christianity only on the basis of its followers, you would find it easy to make such accusations. But read the teachings and see if there's one passage in the New Testament (teachings of Jesus Christ)that condones Violence.

There are hundreds of hate filled verses in The New Testament also. The Skeptics Annotated Bible gives category-wise verses like Contradictions, absurdities, hated, good-stuff, etc from The Bible (both Old Testament and New Testament), The Quran and The Book of Mormon. Pl read them and understand for yourslef. As a believer, you might not have attention to the same. The Christianity has an ugly face which even the present day believers are unware of.

Just one senctence in the Bible (thou shall not suffer a witch resulted in hundreds of thousands women burnt alive across Europe. Have you heard of Spanish Inquisition or the Goan Inquistion in India?

The Chruches committed all sorts of atrocities even on their followers till they were in control over the affairs of the State. Only afer separation of State from the Chruches Europe progressed.

Avinash, you seem like a well read person and that's good for you.
What you are referring to is the Dark Age in the History of Christianity. Scores of attrocities took place and it is a part of history and its not brushed under the carpet. But during the 1500's a reformation was led which resulted in the Bible now being translated in the vernacular of the people. No longer were the masses blindly led by some treacherous clergy men. Up until then it was punishable to have the Bible and discourse said in any other language than latin, so all these inquisition did happen, but yet again they were done against the teaching of Christ. That's why any Bible believing Christian cannot accept the teaching of violence.
There's only apparent Contradictions raised by skeptics, but they have been answered by Christian Scholars very easily, one good scholarly work is by a person called Norman Geisler. Check that out!
By the way, what World View do you hold to? I ask that, since I am impressed by what you have written so far. Not many spend time reading matters such as these.
