The judgment is a landmark one, but with it begins a sad and unforunate chapter of our country. (1) From now on the premium is on backwardness. (2) Merit would be given a decent burial. (3) From now on we would be a nation of backwards. (4) Further social stratification on caste lines would occur. India from now on would be a country of castes and subcastes, minority and majority religions, the politically strong ones reaping all the benefits, pushing the rest into total neglect. An era of REVERSE DISCRIMINATION is ushered in.(5) The richer sections in the OBCs reap a double benefit. (6) The meritorious poor in the 'upper' castes, would have to silently groan, more so with the increasing addictive tendency of the political establishment to splurge huge amounts of public money on populistic sops, subsidies, concessions and incentives. (7) Minority religionists continue to be showered with all boons. (8) Where is space for the poor of the 'upper' castes? (9) Our idea of development and uplift is, to deliberately and cruelly pull down some to accommodate others, instead of giving a lift to the 'backward' without harming the prospects of others. Execellent Writing. This is what happens in future and world is watching at India. MNC's will think twice to appoint IITens /IIMs from now on. We are clearly going backward.
The most talented Brahmins will go criminals. Our country will go dogs. Instead of Raam raj...... it becomes.....

Venkat, This OBC quota is excluding creamy layer. Don't you think, you have to give something to poor and underprivileged people in your country. Sitting in TX-USA, you won't understand the plight of poor here in India.

Dear Swaminathan, Sitting in USA, we dont sleep happily if India is burning, afterall, India is my home. U dont realize the feeling of Indians outside India unless you are there,if you did, you dont talk like this for sure. Our mind works for where evere we are in the world, but our heart is always India.
Reservation for whom? for rich people or cast based? is the question. In upper casts economically backwards are there in Huge nos. Similarly in OBC, rich people are in Huge nos.
Let me tell you this is Just another example of worst politics from a National party, deviding Hindus.

This MNC's will not recruit anybody without conducting aptitude test and interview. Are we arguing for Job reservation? Only for education. That too , you are not willing to part some part. So greedy !!

Dear Swaminathan, Have you not understood 'how easily we can get the income cirtificate in India' being in India?
Sorrry for you, seems you are happy with the judgement.
Now for this moment OBC may feel happy & laugh, but am sure tomarrow when their sons/daughters becomes educated/talented then they will understand the value of merrit. Dont try to say this rule will go after some time. Reservation once maintained will never go in our country.

Dear Swaminathan, The ceiling for creamy layer is as high as Rs2.50 lacs. Many of the 'upper' caste people have incomes far less than Rs1 lac? And the governments keep on raising the creamy layer income ceiling, just as they are indefinitely extending the reservations, expanding the reservations, in a way similar to very frequent and steep raise of MP's and MLA's salaries & perks.
