Study the history of the city and you will find what exactly has been the contribution of Marathis for the financial capital of India. Take away Bombay and we will find that there is nothing left in this state. Keep this provincial politics out of this city please

don't be so sentimental - Bombay survives despite the lousy politicians and administration because Gujjus in South Bombay make sure the right people are paid to do the job and that too only in Malabar Hill, Worli, COlaba and Cuff Parade - the rest is gutter , gutter and more gutter. ( anything with "East" attached to it ) Cross the suburbs and shithole starts and the terrible life of Thane and New Bombay is everyone to see. The power cuts there will put Lucknow to shame !!

But for me it is you who seems to be in favor of "Divide India"... Can't you say Mumbai is built by Indians and not by any Marathi, Gujrati, Bihari or Tamil.

Totally agree, many people here may say that Maharashtrians have done nothing and if you remove Mumbai from Maharashtra then there will be nothing left in the state. These foolish people havent been throught the state of Maharahstra. Maharahstra is the most urbanized state in the country (this is based on reports by govt agencies). In most of the other states only the capital and a few areas are developed rest all is in shambles.

Do not tell us about our History. Because of mumbai You got some present unlike your History. We gave favorable environment to every Indian. Doesn't mean you teach us what is our history. Mubai built by Marathis and it was used by Indians to fulfill their dreams. Don't forget your roots and history.
