Karunanidhi is in politics for more than 60 years and from the beginning his stand was the same. He never said others should follow him. He simply said that according to his belief RAM was not existing and the same was only an imagination. At the same time Vedanti is telling to "whosoever chopped off the head and tongue of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president would be gifted with gold by the saints of Ayodhya". I hope this itself is enough to put hi behind the bars and prosecute. Who is he to offer this gift, who appointed his as custodian of hinduism. If he have the guts and courage go and do the same instead of instigating the people. Only these people like advani/vedanti/joshi/thackery/ togadias will bark and instigate the people and the inocent people will jump into trouble and they can take political mileage. Arrest this Vedanti immediately otherwise he will bark more and instigate people.

Advani asked Karunanidhi to take back his words.... makes sense for both age and experience.
Bbut her comes on, who wanted to take Karunanidhi's head.. man dosent sound like open terrorism. Karunanidhi s comment, if wrong should have been handled in a different way asking him explanation, why he had issues such statements. File a case for it..
Funny thing I read was, Karuna openly challenged Advani to read Ramayana comple and come in for a single stage debate... He is ready to take on "One on One". Why cant Advani call in for a debate and prove Karunanidhi Wrong, which could spread Ram...
Idea behind these press and media responses is just to keep enough fuel among the people to have this Religious hurt feelings.
One statement, if you believe in GOD, dont believe in MAN. Try reading your religious books and try analysing and move forward near to God.
Sure these politicians will never grow up and cannot speak without having your vote in mind.

As an individual, he can have any opinion he likes. That's his constitutional right. However, as a CM, he should have respected the beliefs of different cultures. It's naive to assume that he would not have understood the ramnifications of his speech, being a veteran of politics for 60 years. Because of his unnecessary rant, 2 innocent people have died, which could have very well been avoided, if he had just keep his mouth shut. He should be prosecuted under IPC 298 (I believe) for making remarks that hurt the religious sentiments of people, given that as a veteran politician he would have very well known the impact of his speech.

Your argument is most absurd. As CM he as every right to tell the people what is true. He had asked Advani for an open debate in one stage. IF at all you guys are real men unlike Ram , who killed Vaali by standing in his back and without knowing, take that challenge. Ofcourse Ramayana is a story like Harry Potter and even though I like Harry Potter, I cannot stop any developement project to save him or his bridge which lasted 17 years across sea.

Bro.. this is not exactly what I wanted to convey. I never justified whether what karunanidhi said is true or false... its a different debate. If you ask me, karunanidhi has his personal liberty to say his views abt GOD, and he has given a chance to bedate either.
But teh Fatwa matter was something sucks man.... Shows the real colour of VHP, and they get into these statements, whcih BJP cannot express officially.
If Vedanthi has asked for Justification similar to Mr.Advani, I would have appreciated him, instead of behaving so worst in return to some of statements which could have avoided. By doing this, Vedanti has proved nothing other than Kindling hindus into hatred within Hindu.
Man, we call India as a Secular, Social, Democratic Country. Karunanidhi(as an indivudial expressed his democracy), Vedanti expressed cruel vengance, its not on religious feelings, just having hatred to other religion and not beein in power.
I say, this would happen... Congress would give up this ram's bridge and would re align the project and go ahead. But Karunanidhi & Vedanti should have made it more decent in this modern world.
Wake up guys, stop fighting line by line for each comments.
ASK Karunanidhi an explanation, if found guilty, let him as appology to all hindus and to teh people of India. Karunanidhi should be questioned for raising issues against spritual believes.
Vedanthi to be questioned or filled against pushing people towards blood shed and cold terrorism.
