Well, you will have to understand the difference -

1) AMU(1875) was established before BHU(1916), since one Muslim univ had been established, so there was no problem in establishing a hindu univ.
2) There is no reservation for Hindus in Hindu university, admission is based on merit(entrance test), in Muslim univ, there are reservations for muslims.

d point is u r moving away from d point - ever heard of the Imrana case? it was not a woman raping a woman [sic]; it was a Much-Married Muslim woman - a mother of 5- was raped by her Father-in-law [obviously a Male]. it's nice that u ra good girl, but prayers to d almighty that u can become a Sensible, analytical, intelligent girl also. will help sustain d debate.

I am an alumnus of BHU and my ancestral home is just besides BHU.
You asked - if there can be hindu univ, why can't there be muslim. My point here is - the situation is other way round, First muslim univ came and then Hindu univ. Why there was a need to establish a Hindu univ, why they didn't name it as "Indian" univ? Since muslim univ was already there, so establishin hindu univ was totally justified.
Though, I am not saying that since AMU is a muslim univ, these things are happening, it may happen anywhere.
Some 15 yrs ago, similar incidents used to happen in BHU too, but one VC (Mr Hari Gautam, later became chairman of UGC) permanently dissolved student's union, and no elections have been held since the. This irradiated student's politics and hence removed these kind of incidents too.

Don't worry, No one will know his name (except me :-)) My bro-in-law did his B.Sc, M.Sc, PhD and became JRF, SRF and csir-Pool officer in/from geology deptt. Now he teaches abroad. I know almost every old teacher. I left BHU in 2000, so don't woory, I am not going to spread this news :-)
But why your language seems to be against hindus? There are bad people in bothe hindus and muslims, but it's a fact that across the world, wherever, voilence is there, in 90% of the cases, muslims are involved.

Will you support banning of similar unions in AMU ?

You are wrong that no religion teaches bad things. There is one so-called religion names Islam which teaches killings and raping. You don't know about Islam, this is why you are saying so.

Dear Good girl,
Most of the guyes write message in this forum are sick in their heart. Don't try to teach them. All they can do is spread hatred and spit venom. They don't understand this soft language. They are all terrorists in their heart. Only difference is they didn't get any chance to plant a bomb. But, they call others as terrorists.

No sir. We are not terrorists by heart. We are demiocratic minded. But criticising terrorism and terrorists is not terrorism. First correct your definition.

Dont fight on name of god please my muslim and hindu friends, erase your differences and search for similarities.we are child of one god.
the God talked in vedas as fornless omnicient.Same God in Islam is called as Allah.Interesting to point you out that Allah itself is a sanskrit word which means in sanskrit Goddess dURGA.Further Imama is a sanskrit word which means to see, in islam it means priest of a masjid.Further read this article in the light of latest archaeological findings in middle east the vedic past of Iran, at www.archaeologyonline.net.Further the entire verse of kena upanishad is contained in Quran i will quote examples:
One Koranic verse is an exact translation of a stanza in the Yajurveda. This was pointed out by the great research scholar Pandit Satavlekar of Pardi in one of his articles.
[Note: Another scholar points out that the following teaching from the Koran is exactly similar to the teaching of the Kena Upanishad (1.7).
The Koran:
"Sight perceives Him not. But He perceives men's sights; for He is the knower of secrets , the Aware."
Kena Upanishad:
"That which cannot be seen by the eye but through which the eye itself sees, know That to be Brahman (God) and not what people worship here (in the manifested world)."
A simplified meaning of both the above verses reads:
God is one and that He is beyond man's sensory experience.]

Dear friends above similarities i have quoted to describe one ness of God .I request you not to single out or abuse any body on name of God or religion. Instead of abusing we should read and enrich ourselves.

Similarities may be in philisophy or simply in words. But what about deeds? Do you think Hindus also do same as Muslims are doing these days in whole world?
First understand that Islam is not a religiona at the least. It is a cult of devils or Satan. This is why it produces more terrorists than humans.

The identity of Unani and Ayurvedic systems shows that Unani is just the Arabic term for the Ayurvedic system of healing taught to them and administered in Arabia when Arabia formed part of the Indian empire.

The recent incidents of terrorism in Bangalore/Hyderabad have some messages to the mass.
* There is no concept of Indian or Pakistani muslims. They dont have any nationality. Muslims can join hand irrespective of their origin of nationality.
* As described by neighbors, friends and classmates, these terrorists were very soft spoken and well behaved people. It proves that Islamic terrorists have sweetnes in their voice, but poison inside their stomach. People who claim that there are many good muslims in our society must remember this.
* Educated and upper class muslims are most dangerous. In some states the so called secular parties demand reservation for muslims in education and employement. This will facilitate breeding of terrorism inside India.
* Countries like UK sympathies the terrorists like Afzal Guru(who conspired the parliament attack) and now themselves are victim of this Islamic terrorism. So never sympathies these Islamic people or else one day your own dear one will be among the victims.
