Well, you will have to understand the difference -
1) AMU(1875) was established before BHU(1916), since one Muslim univ had been established, so there was no problem in establishing a hindu univ. 2) There is no reservation for Hindus in Hindu university, admission is based on merit(entrance test), in Muslim univ, there are reservations for muslims.
