NO NEED TO RESIGN INSTEAD REINSTATE THOSE TWO ASI OFFICIALS
by Kabeer on Sep 15, 2007 05:40 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The whole nation has gone into a frenzy and even educated and responsible politicians have abandoned reasoning and are getting swayed away or forcing to sway away.

If Ambika Soni is guilty, it is for irrationally suspending those two ASI officials who did their job as per book. Strange as it may if a Cabinet Minister or some other Minister makes any irresponsible remark he/she was not suspended from the ministry but are defended. If a petty official goes by book or makes a small mistake he/she was unceremoniously suspended. When Lalloo forced an IAF Helicopter on a National Highway he was not jailed or prosecuted but if a railway station master makes a mistake that results in an accident he/she gets booked for culpable homicide.

ASI Officials just went by book-no need to read too much into that affidavit and neither was it incorrect. Certain reports have to be made based on logic and evidence rather than emotions. ASI Officials have to file an affidavit and they did it in a professional way.

But an interesting thing is ASI so far did not ocnduct any survey on Ramsethu/Adams Bridge. Then why ASI was asked to file an affidavit and based on what findings which were not conducted anytime?

Well.......Mr. Kabeer, the ASI is wrong in their claim. As per you what is history???? that a person existed should be documented? then is it not documented in the Ramayan? it is one of the oldest written scriptures/epics known to mankind.......so the ASI has the right now to certify whether ram existed?

This is not a party issue........this is a culpable blasphemy against beliefs of a majority section of indian population.

I live in the middle east where Danish products are banned since some danish news paper printed cartoon on Prophet.........& there is no joker here with the balls to oppose it........not for any other reason but for the fact that it hurts "Beliefs".

For that matter where is the proof that Prophet or Jesus or Buddha ever walked on earth? it is only in epics like Koran & Bible........so do we need to go to ASI goons to get that verified? for all you know they themselves will be found praying in a RAM temple today for saving their jobs.........!!!!!!

For your kind info.....our constitution is based on life of Ram. Ramayan is a scripture which lays down ideal path for a man to follow.

WAKE UP. today it is hindu's tomorrow this will be on muslims......these politicians are not loyal to anyone.

Dear Mr. Mishra,
Professional bodies have to go by empirical factors in their reports. If a doctor is asked to write a report about a how babies come into existence, he/she has to write that babies come into the world because of conjugation between males and females. He/she can not write babies come into the world because of God-Ram or Allah or whoever. Do we charge that doctor for blasphemy for stating that medical science does not recognise existence of God? ASI is such a professional body; so what they wrote was right. But the main point is that ASI so far has not conducted any study on Ramsethu/Adams bridge. They have not confirmed whether it is natural or man made. Then how did they file that affidavit?

Regarding the Danish cartoon the whole world has lost their sanity in banning Danish products. The cartoon was not the handiwork of the Danish GOvt or its publications. It was published by an irresponsible newspaper whose circulation doesnot exceed 2.5 lac. The Danish society or their Govt has nothing to do with it. Forget about the Middle East where there is no democracy, it was this Indian GOvt that pride itself on being the largest democracy on the face of the earth did not have the courage to go ahead with the Danish Prime Minister's visit to India. It is shameful that they asked the Danish PM not to come based on an irresponsible private newspaper's (2.5 lac circulation) cartoon!

But two wrongs do not make one right.

Such things like who gets how many seats in next election would be decided by the people of India. Not by any individual on a discussion Forum.

The current issue is not with Congress or BJP. But related to the fact that should Ram Sethu be destroyed.

If you want to know the ecological impacts, read the last para o the below article.

By all means take a decision either to dig a canal or not, based on ecological and economic factors. Don't dig if it causes ecological damage. But the reason should not be based on mythology. I am sure if post partition if India is full of only Hindus, yes only Hindus-no muslims, no christians etc.- I suspect no one would have objected to dig a canal there based on mythological reasons. It happens in all religions, myths are built around non-manmade structures. But reasoning should prevail at one stage.

There is no real issue with the Babri Masjid structure. For Muslims the structure was important for Hindus that land is important; they are not fighting against each other on the same issue-they are fighting for two different pieces. That is why when Atal Behari Vajpayee offered to use latest technology and move the Babri Masjid to some other acceptable and even larger location in Ayodhya/Faizabad the whole carnage that followed would have been prevented. That issue has an indirect bearing even on this Ramsethu hypersensitivity.

Agree fully with you that destruction of the Babri Masjid was a Barbaric act by a small section fo a HUGE community. Does that mean other areas sensitives to other religions should be also destroyed.

If we go by this logic we should not have built even a single smallest dam in the country. When we built those megadams, how many temples, mosques, churches got submerged or washedaway? These are structures that were supposed to be abodes of Gods. We didn't care then and rightly so. Some political party is playing the psyche of people and we are allowing this nonsense go on.

Commonsense tells us the myths are built around the structures than the otherway round. It happens in all religions. But we should put a fullstop when it matters seriously!
