NO NEED TO RESIGN INSTEAD REINSTATE THOSE TWO ASI OFFICIALS
by Kabeer on Sep 15, 2007 05:40 PM

The whole nation has gone into a frenzy and even educated and responsible politicians have abandoned reasoning and are getting swayed away or forcing to sway away.

If Ambika Soni is guilty, it is for irrationally suspending those two ASI officials who did their job as per book. Strange as it may if a Cabinet Minister or some other Minister makes any irresponsible remark he/she was not suspended from the ministry but are defended. If a petty official goes by book or makes a small mistake he/she was unceremoniously suspended. When Lalloo forced an IAF Helicopter on a National Highway he was not jailed or prosecuted but if a railway station master makes a mistake that results in an accident he/she gets booked for culpable homicide.

ASI Officials just went by book-no need to read too much into that affidavit and neither was it incorrect. Certain reports have to be made based on logic and evidence rather than emotions. ASI Officials have to file an affidavit and they did it in a professional way.

But an interesting thing is ASI so far did not ocnduct any survey on Ramsethu/Adams Bridge. Then why ASI was asked to file an affidavit and based on what findings which were not conducted anytime?
