Voting for Communists
by albert fernandes on Oct 16, 2007 10:32 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have several Bengali and Keralite friends. I consider them to be the smartest and most intelligent of all Indians. I can understand tamilians voting for Karunanidhi, but it beats me how keralites and bengalis vote for commnunists like Karat. I am no bigot and I dont like profiling groups but I cant help it because they have screwed up my hopes this time.

The Keralites and Bengalis that you have met are but a small minority. The vast majority are lazy, indolent morons.
I'm a Bengali in Kolkata. I can't go for more than a day or two without someone espousing braindead marxist rhetoric as if they have uncovered some great truths.
A majority of Bengalis would rather talk nonsense than actually do any work.

How stupid are Keralites and Bengalis? They are the ONLY two people in the world who actually voted for the communist scourge.

In all other cases communism was forced on the people by gunpoint. Only Keralites and Bengalis were stupid enough to choose this fate.

dear biswas iam a keralite, and your opinion is 100% wright. What you said above is the same scenario in kerala. They do not do any work or they didn't allow to do others. If u read the news paper every day does not make you intelligent or a good leader. First the common sense and the mind should have ready to accept the facts. These fools are sleeping on the communist manifesto which is thrown out by the inventors itself. My dear karat sir wake up and first try to become an indian and think about the indians. Otherwise tomorrow you dont have the space to stand on in your own place. Still you are speaking the revolution of the common people. Last 25 years you people brought down the bengal from the wealthiest and most industrial developed state to same as bihar. 15 years back people used to go bengal to find the job. Now bengalis are running to other states for job. This is what our communists achieved.

There are two reasons for communists enjoying long innings in power. First is their Org Structure: They are highly disciplined and have strong org structure down below upto district and mohalla levels, where their representative would know each and every one in the locality by their names, conduct and political preference. If you are with them it's fine else you are the odd one who will face all the problems while doing even sundry issues.
Second issue is the Bangladesi migrants whom they embrace and empower them with all the national rights and benefits comes with Indian Citizaenship.
So it's not about policies or work they do, it's more to do with using the power to be in it like the old slavery system.

Kerala an W. Bengal have a peculiar political demography. In Kerala - Hindua, Muslims and Christians are all closer to each other in nos. when it comes to voting. While Keral is supposed to be 100% literate, the people are highly political savvy and wrongly under the spell of Communism. Kerala is generally a poor state (but for the flow of funds by expatriates from Gulf, which goes to NRI deposits, building bungallows and procuring jewellary rather than any worth while economic developments.

In West Bengal : For the past few years, Influx of illegal Bangladeshi Muslims have changed the political climate completely and forever. For them, it was Jyoti Basu and Co which gave a red carpet welcome to illegal migrants who form a large population of a couple of crores in WB. They got Rationa Cards, Voter IDs etc. at lightning spped by the Communist regime and today they are in the dictating position when it comes to bring or changing a party to power. Since Communists brought them to WB, they are voting for Left parties for the time being, but will set their base and challnge the left soon and left will be wiped out of West Bengal..

Erstwhile Kerala and West Bengal produced Sankara, Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, Tagore, Narayana Guru. In today's Kerala and West Bengal you can't think of such a thing to happen. Why not Keralite's and Bengali's think over this and reverse the current trend of degeneration.

HRS : Good point. But, in both the states, people have been brainwashed so much by the communists that it looks a very difficult to revive them. Also : If communism is so good for the people, why both these states remain so poor and under developed ?. If people to progress, they need to think independently, not thru' their leaders, who are interested only in their votes..
