I Am a muslim myself and i have friends and dear friends from all walks of faith. I dont think the way Osama does, i despise that and deny he is right, he is totally wrong. They are people who are doing such things in the name of religion, it is because they are not strong without masking their acts with religion. Understand THAT.
Should we go ahead and blame sikhism for the killing in Canada? Should the hindus be blamed for the 1984 riots? No I as an educated person do not find it reasonable to blame an entire religion because of a few ignorant fools who committed crime. Arent u educated and aware to think like a sane person?

My observation is, we Indians are tolerant of other religions. However, when we see these radicals targetting innocent people and do henious crimes, some people over-react.
Like you, I have many friends in india that are muslim and when I visit Sabari Malai, we worship Babar Swami, who is considered a friend of Swami Ayyappa. The traiditon is, the Babar temple is serviced by Musim friends.
However, even among my friends, I have seen remarkable differences between educated muslims and others who work on their family business and hence their life revolved around their home and the street where they are born and lacked the exposure of the larger outside world.
While the former beleived in equal respect for all religions, some among the latter had a narrower view of other religions and their worship places. So, I believe education and opportunities are key to progress not only among muslims, but also among people from all walks of life and religions.
As an indian, I am not sure, why you even bother bringing out the names of those mongrels that preach hatred in the name of religion or even feel the need to compare your beliefs with them.
Proud to be born in this country. The next 50 years is going to see phenominal growth of india.

Quran 8.12: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them. 9.05: when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war) 47.04: Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
9.123: O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

I would love to agree with you, you are a nice aND LEARNED MAN, but I cannot. Because you are not right. Why: 1. Hindus should be blamed for 1984 riots because Hindus killed Sikhs. I am a hindu but no point denying that. Muslims did not go on killing sikhs. Hindus killed sikhs because hindus were Hindus and sikhs were sikhs. 2. By same token I cannot blame Hindus for LTTE terror, because they are not fighting for hinduism but Tamil culture (culture issue, not Hindu issue). 3. In Islam, most acts of terror are in NAME of Islam so Islam (or interpretation of Islam) is to be blamed. This includes Al Qaida, Kashmir and even Palestinian issue (see it is not just freedom issue, PLO and Fatah create murderers by invoking hatred of judaism - hence religion is a part. It is just like if Indians were to fight for freedom from British because they hated Christianity or wanted Hindu state. Similarily Pakistan freedom was Islamic movement (terrorism) as they wanted freedom of a religion, but not India. 4. Your statement "biggest terrorism to question the integrity of the other religion" refelcts the problem of Islam. Others value humanity more than religious beliefs, but not Islam. For you questioning Islam is bigger terrorism than killing people. Civilized people like me reject this stupid theory. 5. If you do not believe in Osama, maybe you are not a true muslim, as it is clearly written in Quran that a true muslim should convert non-muslims and establish Islam world over.

I have said it before that I do believe that you are a very honorable and good Muslim and a good fellow citizen of India. I also believe that many muslims are peaceful people.
However, either you have not read the Islamic scriptures well or you just want to bury your head in sand. Please go back and read your scriptures. There indeed are many verses and descriptions in the Quran/Hadith/sunnah that do preach violence, bigotry and intolerance. I am not saying this out of any hatred, but only based on unbiased study of the Islamic scriptures.
The Quran does claim that there is no true religion but Islam. That is not respect and acceptance of other religions.
Please do read your scriptures in its entirety in an unbiased mind. Just listening to the mullahs is not enough.
