I have said it before that I do believe that you are a very honorable and good Muslim and a good fellow citizen of India. I also believe that many muslims are peaceful people.
However, either you have not read the Islamic scriptures well or you just want to bury your head in sand. Please go back and read your scriptures. There indeed are many verses and descriptions in the Quran/Hadith/sunnah that do preach violence, bigotry and intolerance. I am not saying this out of any hatred, but only based on unbiased study of the Islamic scriptures.
The Quran does claim that there is no true religion but Islam. That is not respect and acceptance of other religions.
Please do read your scriptures in its entirety in an unbiased mind. Just listening to the mullahs is not enough.
