Both Hussain and Taslima deserve protection. Their lives, their houses and their kith and kin should be protected by the state, even if they write anything offensive. I'd say this should hold true for Salman Rushdie as well. You can strongly disagree with what they write, and you can express that disagreement in a civilized way , but no one should be allowed to threaten their lives by issuing fatwas.

MY dear brOthers
I will like to clear some misconception, for me remove to misception in non muslim is a jehad .
Jihad means to fight against evil,to do good things.In quran there is not a single statement which states the holy war against any particular religion.
rights of women:
I believe that Islam is the very modern religion, 1)Women have the share in the property from their parents 2)widow remarriage is allowed as well as women remarriage 3)just like men women can divorce their husband if the husband's behaviour is not good towards her wife 4)polygamy(purdah) is introduced to protect women from some evil eyes of men, there are also some rules for men as well. these are just some of the basic principal of Islam which tried to explain in short as possible.
I also knew very well after this reply some of the narrow minded , sick people will try to pinch my emotion but it does'nt matter to me because such kinds of culprit or fundamentalist exist in every society.
Islam is a religion of peace the word Is_(saalam) means peace i am just concentrating on that. quran states that it is important to understand quran then just reading and i under stand it to some extend It does;nt matter what any Taslima or XYZ says and I can bet on that she had hardly ever read quran.

We hindus dont realise our responsibility towards our country, blame it on lack of education. We have our sensibilities towards divinity. Thats why people equate works of hussain with freedom of expression etc. They dont see that goddess is extremely respectful.

Here I compare Taslima and MF Houssen. Both belong to artistic class but Taslima work for the good for the society so that Islam refine better and leave better but MF Houssen willing provocked Hindu community.

Uttam, There is no comparison. Muslims in Bangala do terrorize the Hindus. Talsima did not insult muslims-she just wrote the problems with Islamic laws. The MF Hussain finds faults in Hinduism, we have no problem-if he thinks Hindu godesses problem is having clothes then we have problem with this Hussain guy. The main problem is not with Hussain jerks, the main problem is with the Hindus who have no pride in their great religion. I this MF guy has also padmabhushan etc.
