Country divided

Just like Myanmar, Pakistan is a country so divided that common man is held to hostage by few. The generals in Myanmar go about their routine pointing the guns at the common man in the street.

The only solution seems to be,for the general population to get educated in science and other subjects that can give them a meaningful life. Otherwise, they will be steeped in othodoxy and spending time in splitting hairs and killing others who do not fall to their way of thinking.

It all seems so steeped in ancient times. I was also reminded of my colleague, who pulled his daughter from school the moment she attained puberty in a village in India. Despite my pleadings, he said his words will not carry any weight and she will while away her time till she gets married. His sons were also spending time praying and not willing to contribute to family kitty by taking up some jobs.

It looks quite hopeless, but miracles do happen. China is one country which lost 20 million in cultural revolution, but turned the corner. One has to learn the lessons like them when they saw Taiwan, Hongkong & Singapore propspering, they did not want to spend their time like country bumpkins and be the laughing stock. That is postive thinking for you and accepting the reality in a fast changing world.

The educated Pakistanis are so refined & successful that they owe some duty to bring up their poor cousins and teach them the ways of the world. Otherwise, all will suffer in the end.

One of the qualities of great nations is what they stand for and what they dream for.

Pakistan, in my view, is a FAILED State. This should not be a surprise to anyone. The foundation of this very state was based on fear and deception. The fear of Hindu dominance and the deception of a Muslim nation.

What does Pakistan dream for ? Destruction of India. They have spent the last 60 years working on "SCHEMES" to make life difficult for India. And this blind and shallow goal has made the Military in Pakistan more powerful than any other body, including the people of Pakistan.

Musharaff is just a symptom of a disease that has plagued Pakistan. And that Disease is Hatered for India. They are willing to sacrifice their today and tomorrow to see India Bleed. They are ready to compromise on their liberties to see India bleed. This kind of vision is destructive at the minimum. HATERED is NOT A VISION, It is NOT a DIRECTION.

Unless the Pakistani people sort out their priorities and realize what is important to them, they will have LEADERS like Zia-Ul-Haq, Gen, Khan or like Musharaff.

It is time for them to realize that Bread and Butter issues are more significant that Kashmir. And people of Kashmir need to take a lesson from Pakistan. Hatered towards India will not solve your problems.

As a Muslim I feel sad to see my fellow Muslims suffer in Pakistan. But I also realize that this is all because of their own doing and no one else should be blamed.

Dear Imran Patel,

You are a great Indian and the real child of Allah, the Lord / true muslim. Most of our muslim brotheren in India (there are many Abdul Kalams in India) are very good and they love our India. You should all bring the others into the line of prosperity. Do not worry about a Modi or RSS or even your Muslim-league. All these fellows are mis-using the name of religions. Reach-out to your fellow Muslims in Pakisthan / Afghanisthan / Iran / Iraq and educate them with all the positive values as taught in the Quran. Make them to love the whole world and convince them that world is ready to love them all.

Why not you think of floating a "universal moderate muslim forum", to show the world that so called Jihad never kills anybody, rather it is to protect every-body from the evil. Allah will definitely help you in this endeavour.

Let us prove the world that Allah and Eswar are same, except it is like the name of God is called differently in different languages. God can be manifested with universal love, but not the hatred. Hatred is evil, the 'Sythan'. The terrorists, in the name of Jihad are spreading hatred / sythan. Make it to be understood by the misguided muslim youth. Respect your women and educate them to make ideal muslim families.

Let all the world live in love of the Lord (with whatever name we may call Him).

Guru,

Have you noted that the primary difference between india and pak is NOT the people (leave the pak n.west provinces for this piece), but the religion. Hinduism definitely is more tolerant. Islam seems like it cannot exist UNDER a different philosophy. Moderate muslims need to come out of the "ummah" feeling and be part of the local community rather than a worldwide ummah.
