It may not hear well to many in India that the concept of federalism had been a quest before Independence and is absolutely lost thereafter. In naked eye, one could see federalism in speech but not in action. India is Federal nearer to Delhi and India elsewhere is also Federal which has the capacity to destabilize Delhi. This is a perverse interpretation of federalism. Time may take care of the discrimination. PM%u2019s views are therefore very cosmetic. Rabi Kanungo Intellectual Forum.

Federalism was a myth in India for a long time with the Congress alone (a then for a little time, the BJP) being in power and behaving kind of indifferent to the states, pouring all money into UP etc., but now, after coalition politics seems to have come to stay, Federalism is fast becoming a reality and the people belonging to states other than UP have also started having a say in Governance.
