I pity Alister
by Kishore on May 03, 2007 02:53 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Ok ,It is his fault to drunk driving .
But the accident happened is an unfortunate incident . The fact media is reporting it as a murder and homicide is a complete disgrace .
The problem also lies with the people who make the public property (Footpath, roads here) as their own property and sleep on it without any care about civic senses .
Just because his father ,media find it as a conspiracy .
If the media is so emotional, show some emotions towards the parents of Alister, everybody has feeling rich or poor .
Bottom line is The people have died partically due to their gross negligence towards their life and public property .
This case is like blowing your house due to leakage of cooking gas ,and blaming on the gas company, without owning your responsiblity and ignoring early warnings

Both sides at fault I think. these people for sleeping in pavement without thinking safety and also alister for "drinking and driving". But he is a victim of being son of a rich family.

you should realize some people's "gross negligience towards their life and public property" is a result of unfortunate circumstances and not out choice. Unless the people you are referring to are the once who have lost their senses after a heavy dose of booze and have forgotten their houses in that state.

I think u are also drunk and not in your senses exactly like Alister when he rammed his car. What Nonsense are you talking. Agreed that it is the duty of the Civic bodies to ensure that people dont sleep on the pavements etc. but does that mean that some Idiot gets the license to Drink and kill people on road. Mind you it could have been anyone, maybe someone like you walking on the road. Now would you say that walking on the road is also incorrect. Get real. I am surprised that such an open and shut case is being dragged & Alister has the cheek to say that this case has affected his studies. The guy has to face the music.

What an analogy, my dear Kishore. Gas and human life are like chalk and cheese.
You agree that he was driving drunk ... is it right?

People who sleep on kerb do not have a choice, often. Just thank your stars that you are so fortunate to have a roof over your head. At least, be a little empathic to deprived people.

You sound like a rich brat yourself, who once was lucky enough not to have mowed down people in drunken stupor...

Do you have any sort of shame talking like so, and you have the temerity of blaming these destitutes for sleeping on streets. Boy, they do so because they have no where else to go, unlike your Alistars et al, who drink and drive without batting an eyelid for rules and regulations..

He has snuffed out lives, and there is nothing that can justify it...So please for once, think like a human soul and thank your bloody stars that you were born with a silver spoon..and not had to sleep on pavements, lest you would have been vulnerable to drunken individuals like Alister..

And finally, but for the media again, justice would not have been served...For all its flaws and sensationalism, I believe it has really done a whole lot good for the poor man on street. We need to pat them on the back for it.

Hello bunt ,I am from India , And I have this first hand experience ,not killing part, of people being ignorant in India.
People in India don't care about traffic rules at all, includes me (try to ,but traffic bugs me) .
Don't give me the poor man thing , I know these people personally ,they always have a feeling that the public property is anyone's property .
They will have 500 bugs in hand but would not like to spend 100 bugs for a logde room, why ,because why waste money

Looks like you have opened a can of worms by saying that you pity alister. I agree with your views that media is blowing it out of proportion and conspiracy theory is being discussed. But my friend, bottom line is he was DRUNK and he has to go to jail for that. For a longggg time, not just 6 months and he has to pay Fat compensation. 5 lacs is peanuts. Just because these people were pavement dwellers you think he can get away with anything that he wants?

Again another basher , What is purpose of sending a young man to jail and wasting his life .
Instead of that , court can ask him to do a 4 years community service ,so that he could be helpful and be a better citizen of the country

Hello , I don't drink alcohol ,and I never will .
If death is what you want go ahead with it .
It's a pity that you belong to same country that produced great non-violent leaders like Gandhi,Vivekananda,Sai Baba ,Buddha etc .
Your sickening attitute is a disgrace to the above great men .
I am only asking to give the boy a chance to resurrect his life through some good causes .
