Land Acquisition
by Bosky Nandy on Mar 19, 2007 04:09 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Dear All,

Land acquisition with adequate compensation is constitutional. It is happening all across the nation. Everever a road, a highway, canal or a dam is constructed. In cities and towns, new colonies are constructed over agricultural lands.
If we want to stop all these, we need to make an amendment to our constitution.
I dont know then why the West Bengal Chief Minister is being targetted alone, when such things are happening all across the country. Can anyone who understands this better could explain me????

Regards to all.

Tirtha Nandy

Mr. Nandy, Are you aware that Sector V, Salt Lake (which is New Town or Rajarhat whatever you may choose to call it) was earlier cultivable land. This the West Bengal Government acquired from the peasants forcefully and promised them adequate compensation. It is a pity that till date none of the farmers have been compensated by the LF Government. That is socialism for you West Bengal Government style.

DEAR TIRTHA,

Please be INFORMED (for the sake of sanity) that no other CM has meditated to kill innocent women and children and then followed up with enough force to remove those bodies through party cadres.

Actually such AUDACITY of politicians come from the very fact that they know many people like you believe in SUPERFICIAL things and celebrate the proverbial IGNORANCE IS BLISS philosophy. Actually, such is the population who elect rogue poiticians in this country - if the electorate is mean-ly selfish the LEADERS have to be so!!!
