The recent results of Punjab and Uttaranchal do not augur well for the Congress.
The Congress should join hands with BSP, CPI and other like-minded parties and form a front agsinst SP as well as the BJP.
Muslim leader like Rashid Alvi, A R Antulay etc. should be roped in besides others having skills and secular credentials. Salman Khurshid has failed miserably in mobilizing tyhe grass root workers against the misrule of SP. At the outset the SP and BJP clearly appear to be "hand in glove".
The Congress lacks leaders with/of mass appeal at regional levels. Prabha Rau and Margaret Alva are cases in point. They have terribly mismanaged the Congress affairs in Maharashtra and I see the same for UP unless Congress takes some dratic measures.
The Congress faces an uphill task in UP, but with proper management of resources and roping in good leader feeling the pulse of the grass root situation and cadres, it can fare better. Wake up Congress!!! All the best!!! It's now or never for you!

so you want mayawati to rule you and waste crores of rupees on ambedakar parks? secularism is okay but what about 1. clean drinking water to all(24 hours running) 2. roads without potholes 3.food for all 4.jobs for all 5. 24 hour electricity 6. health services free for all and frankly i do not see leaders as muslim or hindu i see them oonly as good or bad does that make sense to any muslims or they love to be treated as vote banks?

Dear friend Secularism is a submission and it has made the country weak & submissive. Does India have any voice in the world opinion with so many parties pulling in different directions -parties with cross border loyalties in the name of religion or misplaced idelogies (you can draw your own conclusions). We must have a single major national party rule whether BJP or congress- all other parties must melt away. . Both secularism & coalittion rule have ruined our society. The voters must give a clear verdict this time. Jai Hind
