QUESTION: "What is Jazia as per Islam. Is it justifiable"
ANSWER: KNOW ABOUT JIZIYA... JIZIYA is the Tax Payed by Un-Beleivers in countries adopting Islamic Law...Many people think that the Jiziya is a Heavy Tax imposed on Non-beleivers of Islam. But kindly note that it is more compulsory for Muslims to pay a Tax.. The Fourth Pillar of Islam is ZAKAATH, it is also called Charity for the Poor. According to Shariat Law, it is mandatory for every Muslim to pay 2.5 % of his savings and Property for the Poor.. Which means if I have 100 acres, I have to give 2.5 acres as Charity... Since the Muslims have to Pay ZAKAAT, Jiziya is exempted for them.. For Un-beleivers Jiziya Tax is collected.. It is no different from the Normal Tax system... The only reason why Muslims don't pay Jiziya Tax is they are supposed to pay Zakaat, which is the responsibility of every beleiver.. Hope it clarifies... Jiziya...

why you divide your society between believer and non believer. What is non believer? Why donot you treat them equal. Why two different type of Tax? May be Zazia is better than Zakat.
Come on. Donot justify this discrimination. No civilised society will appreciate this system

Dear Vinay, If you like it or not, all the Governments including India have a database of the Religions of the Citizens. India is having the record of Muslims & Hindus, does it mean that our governments in discriminating us ?? No .. It is for governing effectively and nothing else..

Dear I am saying that if I have 100 acres I have to give 2.5 acres every year.....This is not less.. Indeed Jiziya is also nominal and your Projection of 40 % is a pure exagerration

Excuse me Abhinav, There is no Compulsion for Spiritual Things, Fasting is only for the people who beleive, no unbeleiver is compelled for that... For Governance reason, the Tax has to be collected, it is not a Personal Issue, tax is a common issue...

Dear Abhinav, In Gulf Countries nobody asks you to Fast, but you can eat in Personal space and not in Public that's it.... It is only to show courtesy for the FASTING people, it is a Human gesture... Will you play Rock Music on the ocassion of somebody's death??? It is only a respect to keep quite that is Humanity >>> Hope you understand
