Blue wrox,
The same science which makes Mary a Virgin. Dont take literal meanings. The Faith is important. Not the literal meaning. Understanding Subtle meanings takes patience and maturity.

Wrox buddy, dont tell me You dont believe there would always be some overdose of masala in mythology irrespective of religion!

I think our religion is very scientific and rational. Our rigveda and all the books are rational.Even ramayana and mahabharata are referred to as Mahakavyas and not as poorvapuranas.Thats the difference between hindusim and the rest.We are built on rationality.Even ram is not god in valmiki ramayana,he became god later.
Masala is full in jesus story for example.A man being nailed to death is hardly a story.I would have had trouble in writing screenscript for that, forget religion

I agree it is .. but no religion is 100% scientific - it just can not be - may be the 10% fiction includes some of the things that cant be explained scientifically. Whaqt say?

ravanas 10 head is literally but bridge is real.Hanuman flying to himalays and lifting a mountain is real but he cannot make shifts and lift thousands of vanarasenas is literal.
The whole story is to be taken literally but idiots take that for real.Thats the problem

Devotees of Lord Rama do not have any such doubts. However, Sanatana Dharma does not impose its beliefs on its believers or non-believers
