Nehru and Women
by unni krishnan nair on Jul 15, 2007 04:23 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Nehru's platonic relation with not only Edwina but with many women is well known amongst people who read beyond the prescribed text books in schools.

He was a perfect womaniser and it appears he inherited it. In *Reminiscence of Nehru Age* M.O.Mathai, former special assistant to PM during Nehrus time, has devoted two chapters to deal with this subject.

In chapter *Nehru and Women* he mentions the names of Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, Padmaja Naidu and a lady from from Bangalore (a swamini) and of course Edwina.

Under another chapter *she* there is a small note to say that the chapter written about Nehru in D.H.Lawrence style was withdrawn in the last minute by the publisher obviously because it could prove too much for the Nehru family. Bits and pieces from this chapter however surfaced in the Delhi press when Maneka Gandhi was ousted from the residence of Indira Gandhi after Sanjay Gandhis death and efforts to tarnish the image of Maneka by publishing bad reports of her family was in full swing.

After reading these reports on would think that Nehru was so potent that he could impregnate a woman specie from miles.

Then there's nothing platonic about it.

whatever you have written is absolutely wrong & baseless. At least he was in andman for kala pani. But your heros who are abovementioned were busy in love affairs as mentioned above when the country was facing partition. This itself shows how nehru's were serious about the Swarajya.

There is no proof of mercy petition by Veer Savarkar about whom you are so casually writing.
He was unfortunate person who was not recognised by Indians but why he is unfortunate we Indians are unfortunate that we could not take our limits of understanding somebody who was working on "Divya Dahak". He was such "Tejonidihi" to whom people like you will not understand at any point of time.

He was only person for Swarajya 2 life imprisonments were announced. When Nehru was busy in such affairs. And Gandhiji were busy in making fool to Indians.

Aap nahi samjhoge Use aur uski apeksha bhi nahi. because whatever he has done for the nation is unbelivable and done without any expectation from people of India.

He has written Arti called Jayostute if you go thru it you will understand. During the hardship of Andman he had written 2 Khandkavyas which nobody can think of in imagination also.
You are calling yourself 'Satya' Then go for truth you will find whatever you r saying is incorrect.

For the benefit of the uninitiated D.H.Lawrence referred to above is the author of the famous book Lady Chatterley*s Lover banned by the Indian Govt. as it contains contents of sexual nature.

What is a platonic relationship like that, unless ofcourse he was a great yogi and managed to do all that without touching her ;-)
