tibet is growing

Dear Lama u are a good man. But for what cause are u fighting. Tibet is growing , People are growing richer. Tibet has got the worlds highest rail link which has boosted its tourism inturn economy . Chinese government has promised to spend billions of dollars for its upliftment. So why you still want to fight for this cause. Nowdays people are happy there and the hans from chinese have integrated well with the tibetian community....Forget the past and return to potala .....U are one of the greatest spiritual leader so be spiritual not turn political. Long live lama....long live chinese tibet....

People i am am indian in china. China wants to own a big land mass. Claims a lot of territories as its own . Many people think china only uses force to acquire the land but the hidden thing is china wants to impress the acquired territory be spending tonnes of money than goes foe infrastructure building , economic upliftment. In case of tibet it used force to acquire and tonnes of money to retain it. In the case of hong kong china diplomatically acquired from the british , bus as soon due to asian financial crisis in 1997 many asian economies crashed including hong kong. China has put a lot of effort in making hong kong's economy powerful now.

So in any day a forcefully acquired economically powerful territory is better than a very poor and free territory . In this case though tibet was forcefully acquired its seculiarism and freedom of actions has improved only.

dude where are you speaking from...one of the Chinese operated concentration camps. Is it your brain writing this or is is controlled by the Chinese.

If you get a chance escape from that place and get rehabilitated at some institution.

Dude truth always sucks.....go to tibet and ask the tibetiens they will tell.....i ve been there man....Man i too dont like many of the chinese policies man, but the fact has to be accepted..... Just for ur reference US used force on Iraq and now see the consequence , Dick cheny and the Big shots in washington are stealing the oil , burn the oil in cars at Washington and the buildings at Baghdad....

U be to tibet , u will know what economic upliftment for the nomad has meant....

And dude the fact is The lama who was asking for the total freedom of tibet seeing the growing support for china in tibet has changed the stance as he needs a great degree of autonomy and not freedom.....

First, warm wishes to Dalai Lama.

Second, a very interesting discussion is waged here. Please see 7 years in Tibet if you have not - true story and not-challenged by the Chinese in to-to.
But all things remaining equal, the Chinese can concentrate on their own country and not force Tibet to be theirs - I understand the nomad upliftment but it is like India entering south Bangladesh and saying "I want to help you'll out and you are arguably a part of India so listen to us...etc." I hope you get the point.
Already lots of land in China are there and so much underdeveloped outside 50 kms north of Shanghai - they can start there and not fight for ice-land and kill poor non-armed Tibetans.
Again, pls watch 7 years in Tibet (true story) - quite revelation. In their own little way, the Tibetans are self-sufficient and likes living an austere life. No harm in that!!
