Some muslims are not able to digest the truth, so they are clicking 'abuse' button. Here is the same message again:
Problems of Hindu girls in UK and Scotland Yard to set up Hindu Safety Forum
'Hindu girls targeted by extremists' Thursday, February 22, 2007
Muslim extremists who try to force teenage Hindu girls to convert to Islam are being targeted in a new police crackdown. The recruiters often paid 5,000 British Pounds - About Rupees Fifty Thousand - for each success and are stepping up aggressive conversion tactics, especially around universities, religious leaders believe. The Metropolitan Police have stepped in after commissioner Sir Ian Blair said many Hindus felt neglected by Scotland Yard. Some young students have been beaten up and forced to abandon their courses by extremists, Hindu leaders told a security conference. Islamic extremists invited the girls on dates before beginning campaigns of 'terrorism' until they converted, they claimed. Ramesh Kallidai, from the Hindu Forum of Britain, said: Extremist Muslims make life miserable for Hindu girls. Some are petrified; they feel these men have complete hold on them. One girl was beaten up in the street and others have been forced to leave university. The problem was most common in cities such as Birmingham, Leeds and Bradford, he added, while London universities had at least two or three cases each. Mr Kallidai estimated hundreds of girls had been targeted, with some reports of Muslim boys being offered ?5,000 'commissions.
The National Union of Students said it did not want to discriminate against Muslims but agreed some extremists were causing concern. They have managed to infiltrate Brunel University in West London, Bedfordshire University, Sheffield Hallam University and Manchester Metropolitan University, according to a Muslim charity. Sheikh Musa Admani, a troubleshooting imam, fears many radicals are easily by-passing university bans on extremist sects such as Hizb ut Tahrirs and Al-Mujahiroun.
SCOTLAND YARD is to set up a Hindu Safety Forum with aggressive conversion as its top priority. Sir Ian said: 'There is a feeling in the Hindu community that we have not given them as much attention as other groups.

Thanks chaitanya kumar for reproducing the wrongly and unfairly deleted post.
In my post I had I had just reproduced a news item from METRO news paper. METRO is a free newspaper distributed at the London Underground Tube Stations and has an estimated readership of 980,000 as of September 2006
The same news has been published by many other newspapers in UK and the news is still available in their official websites. To mention just a few with the websites The Daily Mail London Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair with his statement Police and universities working together to tackle aggressive conversions http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=437871&in_page_id=1770#StartComments

It is unfortunate that something which about millions of London and UK papers have published and read and is not considered readable by someone in India, unless he himself is ashamed of it and does not want other to know.
As of rediff, shame on you. This news affecting the Indian community in UK for the past several years probably needs a separate article and should not to be censored. Grow up rediff and please don%u2019t go on self denial mode again.

Well SHUQ, why did you avoid the 8 other comments in the same paper or the following which probably are direct on this news in UK papers
Added: 23 Feb '07 This is NOT nonensense! It is TRUE! Just because it has personally not affected you, it does not mean that it is not happening. There is photographic evidence that shows this actively happening. It almost happened to me and I hope that all Sikh and Hindy girls are strong enough not to fall into the traps of these men. What does religion teach you? Does it teach you to look down on women? To treat others differently? I certainly know that the Sikh religion teaches love, EQUALITY and compassion. Whatever religion you are you should REPECT OTHERS! A message for all Sikh and Hindu girls : BE INDEPENDANT, KEEP YOUR GUARDS UP AND DO NOT LET ANY MAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU IN ANYWAY. IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU ACCORDING TO THE REPORT ABOVE THERE IS HELP! RAISE THE ISSUE TO YOUR LOCAL STUDENTS UNION, THE POLICE, POST A MESSAGE TO THE BBC AND MAKE OTHER GIRLS AWARE. NO ONE RELIGIN IS SUPERIOR TO ANOTHER - THATS JUST MAN'S VIEW - NOT GOD'S VIEW. - Ranj
This conversion has been long known in the Hindu community and has been happening for a long time. My family have been affected by this situation many years ago. I remember my parents taking me aside in the 90's and warning me not to be too friendly with MUSLIMS. Why you may ask? At the time, a cousin of mine had been involved with a muslim boy and had run away to live with him. Many years later, a single mum with the father abandoning her soon after the birth. My neice is now 12. - anon
Added: Tue 12:03 This has been going on for a while, since late 1990s, but only seems to have surfaced now inn the mainstream. Moreover, the same groups are still active under different names. Each time they get banned by the SU they appear under a new name in the following year. Yet the police or NUS have done nothing about. I sincerely hope that Met and other police forces NUS take this seriously and act accordingly. - ASP
Added: 24 Feb '07 I am a muslim guy and I am deeply disturbed by what I read. I am truly sorry for harrasment that these girls experienced. I am also angry by this shouvinists "muslims". If they had any basic religious education (and common decency) they should know that Islam strictly forbids coercion in faith. I am sorry. - Tarik
This has been going on for a very long time, Indian (Mainly Sikh and Hindu) children have always been taught the equality of all religions and it is this sense of innocence which has been taken advantage of by the extreme element of Islam. There have also been many cases of Indian women married to Pakistani's, taken back to Pakistan and sold into prostitution. The only way we can combat this is by communities getting together and fight this. Not to brush this under the carpet because of the "shame" this causes. S. Kaur, London,
