I just want to understand what the author wants to project by this article. I see no point in arguing about some wretched emperor who ruled India some 400-500 years ago. He probably did some bad things. It doesn't mean that 1) All the Muslims at that time were with him or 2) All the Hindus today need to seek revenge for what he did.
This article is trying to add fuel to the already existing tensions between the two communities. Please stop this and let us behave like mature individuals.

You want to bury your head in the sand like an ostrich and not know the truth. Trouble is, not knowing the truth is not going to save you or me from the fanatics.
Do you seriously live in this world and believe that there can be a possible peaceful coexistence with muslims of this world. Can you point me to any living example where muslims are in the majority and the rights of the minority are freely and fairly respected?
It is not about adding fuel to fire. This is about your awakening and millions of indians like you needing to know that you have been brainwashed by communist text books that you read in school.
The Osama bin Laden brand of terrorism does not bother about rediff and neither do they care about any peaceful co-existence. Look at Kashmir. Here is how it works. Reach a threshold where you can be the majority and then just introduce the shariat law and then kill, maim, convert, rape or whatever it takes to drive the minority out. Kashmir is a live example for you. I did not hear your voice condemning the introduction of shariat in Kashmir. Why are you worrying about a factual lesson in history!!!!

@ Aditi, And you want to look for opportunities (maybe even centuries old) to bury the faces of Muslims. lol:-)

Are you laughing at me or yourself? Pity is that you seem to be celebrating your own demise. The facts stare you clearly in the face. There just is not any muslim majority country which allows other religions to coexist. It is an oxymoron.
Now the choice is that either you control their growth for your own survival or you let them grow to a majority which ultimately leads to your and my demise. I dont think there is any possible way given your thinking that we can lead to anywhere but your and my annihilation. That is why I asked in the first sentence why you were laughing!!

I just can't understand your attitude. Time and again you point fingers at all the muslims, when the issue is just about some wretched emperor who ruled the country some 500 years ago. You sound like a racist to me, when you say that you want to control the growth of Muslims in India. Please remember that the Muslim community in India has people like APJ Abdul Kalam, Shabana Azmi, ArRahman, etc. I don't see any justification is "controlling" people like them just because Aurangazed had demolished some temples a few hundred years ago. Also, I never mentioned that Muslims should be worshipped (like some "secular" forces) even if they commit crimes. BTW, i just felt like laughing at your ignorance. I see no point in discussing on this topis further, as i don't want to argue with a racist

Yeah! Maybe you would have liked it if the reply was something like "Let's kill each other". BTW, can you tell me what the point the author is trying to make? Did you not read about Aurangazeb before?

Thanks for the suggestion. BTW, let me know what you learnt from the article. What do you intend to do as a result of that. No human being alive now is any where close to taking responsibility for the evil done by Aurangazeb. It's past, that too a distant one.
I know HISTORY is important, but there's no point in repeating the same things (we all read about Aurangazeb in our textbooks, right). Please note that, I never mentioned that Muslims should be worshipped (like some "secular" forces) even if they commit crimes.
