This article is misconceived and seems to be motivated. After 16years of research and deliberations by experts , here comes the 'expert'who scoffs at the methodology of award. Why didn't he advise Fali Nariman ? If k'taka feels aggrieved, why are the protestors targeting the tamil poulation there ? They should deal with the award by going in for appeal/review etc (legal means).As it has happened before ,some motivated elements in the state use every opportunity to spew venom on tamils. It would appear that the real issue is not water dispute but it is the malice towards the neighbour.

who is himanshu to advise fali nariman. himanshu is a reporter for rediff. he did his job. amma, shashikala, did you read todays news papers in bangalore. if not please read it. inspite of a adverse verdict karnataka has a lot to smile. and inspite of a favourable tamilnadu is still lot to cry.... as for attacks on tamils, it is bad and has to be stopped and condemned. so far no reports on violence against tamils has been reported. malice towards neighbour, you said. for what? because karnataka has a better standing in todays world.
you should remember that karnataka is the only state in south that accepts people from other states without any malice. i am also an outsider, from kerala. i appreciate the good heart of kannadigas that they can accomodate outsiders without any problem. Outsiders should learn to behave when they are in a different land. that is the basic rule. or you will get paid in your own coin. what is wrong with agitation in karnataka on cauvery issue. they are merely asking for a clear verdict which has clarity on the importrant aspects like sharing of water during distress/drought years. is it a crime asking for it?
shortly you can see both karunanidhi and jayalalitha again at the tribunal with another case that they did not get what they wanted. this is what happens when you suppress the actual facts to make short term gains.

Dear Raja Krsnan - you are the next and everybody who are not from KTA. recent incidents clearly shows KTA exteme elements being restless on seeing all sort of ppl there. Take this in:
when there came suggestion for nominating a non-kannada actually a mallu there was good extreme opposing for it. (Meanwile Mr.Nambiar was contesting in chennai on behalf of BJP and nothing was absorbed for it there)
The issue of laying over tax over other language movies including from kerala (kelara actors who visited b'luru mouthed over it).
The actress whom played game in the issue of sabarimala. While the issue was been discussed by the kerla Assembly, the extreme elements were threatening for no one can accuse or arrest a kannada.

You dont seem to ack the attacks on tamils in the past.And now, why shd tamil channels go off air? Why shd transport services come to a halt betwn two states? Give me one instance. if you read the newspaper today you can read that Karnataka truck drivers have been accompanying trucks from TN and ensuring that nothing happens.
