Fake Encounters ? What are they ? Memories of a soldier !!!!
by muthu krishnan iyyappan on Feb 05, 2007 10:04 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

When we are involved in a LICO (low intensity combat operations) - like the one happening in kashmir or north east, where the enemy is normally unseen and could be anyone, including your next door neighbour, there are times when such collateral casualites do happen. No soldier or no police man is saddist to such an extent that he wantingly kills innocent.

These killings happen either because it was prooved beyond reasonable doubts that the persons in custody are eithe dangerous people or helping dangerous people - but without any legal evidence and therefore letting them loose will be a serious treat to the society.

but many times, it does happen that due to mistaken identity or due to a personal rivalry between the guy in custody and an informer, wrong information are passed on to the interrogator - who when using 3rd degree interrogation techniques, find that the line has been crossed and letting the guy in custody to be free will be more unacceptable than killing him....thus he is forced to kill the guy in custody.

Believe me, I have done it when I was in the Army - and I never liked it..but neverthless had to do it....

Liberate Kashmiris from the clutches of fanatic Indian Government. Why don't we conduct a UN referundum as agreed after India's independence. Let us get rid of these kashmiri traitors and invest the defence money towards development of India. Believe me we can be the Super-power in next 10 years if we don't spend even a single penny towards the defence.

Mr Muthu
i strongly condem ur henious act,At no point killing of innocent is justified.and you should be ashamed of your barbarism,You are the PPl who ignite fire, You justifying that you are not trained well during ur training period, and u r proving that one of the strongest institution (army)is not working well.
Mr Muttu there is always a difference between terrorist and a "State"or a responsible country men,Terrorist kill innocents to terrorise the civilian,But "State" should not kill innocent to terrorise the "Terrorist"
May God Bless you and enlighten your life,i feel very sorry for you,Your mother must very ashamed of you

This mail shows the blatant disrespect for human life that the army harbours among its soldiers (if the person above- Mr. Iyyappan indeed served the army as he claims). Under no circumstance, should the MURDER of innocent human lives be justified and if somebody in uniform does it, I feel it should be treated as a ten times more heinous crime than if any other civilian had committed it.

Given the chance a person like you in the uniform, belt and rank(unknown) would have even killed Mr. M.K.Ghandi. You would be making a hero of the killers of Julian Wala messacre. But shame on people like you who bring a disrepute to an institution of high decipline and morale. Perhapes you should be aware that indian army is on U.N peace keeping mission in some parts of the world. You are putting their reputation at stake?
