Thackeray's remarks on APJAbdul Kalam are the result of his high degree of patriotism. The important fact is that the UPA is postponing the execution of the terrorist Afzal Mohammad and trying to persue its policy of divide and rule to perpetuate its power. Let the UPA take referendum on the issue. This also needs to look into the question raised by the first President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad during Jawaharlal Nehru's dictatorship. President need not be bound by Cabinet's decisions in all matters and must have the power to take some decisions against those of the govt in nation's interest. Otherwise what is the necessity of the President's post in the Constitution?

It would not be a democracy if a president is given veto powers over a democratically elected government. Where was Thakerays patriotism when he chased away North as as well as South Indians from his state. When nationalism is becomes so limited, it is called facism. Thakeray is a facist, not a nationalist, there a big difference. What Kalam has is patriotism, read his books and contrast it with Thakeray.

I love the kinds of statements passed by Mr.Thackeray...it gives chance to a lot of bloggers to write sumthing interesting As per his concern of getting the Afzal verdict he seems to be having a say as to why Mr President is not signing the document. he is tryin to be humurous by citing the hairstyle of a person.... he has every right to say what he wants BUT DO U GUYS REALLY NEED TO COMMENT ON IT...DO YOU GUYS NEED TO PAsS JUDGEMENTS ON SOME WORDS COMING OUT OF THE ....MOUTH ... just to be picked by media & make a full weekly telecast schedule..... leave him to his foolishness let him enjoy the victory of bmc elections as he doesnt have muchtime .....ahead..... Mr President is such a magnanimous personality ...who can never or ever be affected by statements of cartoonist who makes a living by riding on so called GAATIGIRI...

How do you know Afzal did it , get into the legal aspect of the problem , he was tortured relentlessly by the STF to confess he did not get a lawyer to represent him, no fair trial and you have already assumed he did whatever Thackeray says...

I don't see our soldiers and freedom fighters and other leaders as scoundrels. I think you are a very hopeless person.

wonderfool!it seems that you were witnessing the torture.how did his companions get lawyers and how did they not sentence to death or life imprisonment when the trial was not fair.it is the problem of my beloved country that when AZHARUDDINS are made captain there is no cheers but when they are discharged they suddenly recall their muslim origin.have you ever seen the pictures of the welcome of mr.shaukat aziz and the guest from saudi arab? just revisit the pictures carefully if you can.
