Thackeray on APJKalam
by keshav acharya on Feb 04, 2007 09:02 AM

Thackeray's remarks on APJAbdul Kalam are the result of his high degree of patriotism.
The important fact is that the UPA is postponing the execution of the terrorist Afzal Mohammad and trying to persue its policy of divide and rule to perpetuate its power.
Let the UPA take referendum on the issue.
This also needs to look into the question raised by the first President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad during Jawaharlal Nehru's dictatorship.
President need not be bound by Cabinet's decisions in all matters and must have the power to take some decisions against those of the govt in nation's interest.
Otherwise what is the necessity of the President's post in the Constitution?
