shame shame!
by on Feb 03, 2007 02:28 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

it's a shame that some people have found the use of the word 'morality' so instigating! 'outdated idea'!! we ought to be absolutely correct, not relatively - so forget what everyone on this planet is doing!
The same stuff if said by a corporate giant, like Premji, would have made complete sense to you.

Dude, you need to give your name first to really find out if you are genuine. Do you know the people in the defense forces? Premji, you and I are alive today, only because of the armed forces. Not because of Premji. I do respect that man but he lives in a safe environment unlike the people in the defense forces. Premji will not working at 80. He will retire and live off the money earned by hard working people at Wipro. Does that mean he does not deserve it.
Learn to respect your country, its people, who defend it for your sake. Give them respect and take it back.
Do one thing. Ask Premji if he supports your views.
And do not hide. Only people who feel the guilty conscience hide.

Tell me, whats the issue here? Issues I raised or my being hidden(for some friggin raeson rediff is now showing up my nick even when i am logged in) ?

Ok, back to issue.

I still think M L Thapan's views are negative. If this is the thing he want to say - "indian society has lost morality", then I would burn my newspaper and not let my kids read this negative views.

Now I leave this upto M L Thapan if he want to fill our young kids with depressing picture of society or give them inspiring stories so they catch good ideas rather than become paranoid and leave country to West.

I felt it was necessary to make this clear because people has tendency to catch negative things early. Its very difficult to indoctrinate positive views in a society where media orgs are busy showing only negative sides of society.

Every part has two coins. Our society has lot more GOOD things than bad things.

sorry Mr.General I don't agree with your depressed views.(sour memories?)

With all due respect.

I returned to India after staying abroad for just 2 years... and I find the General is spot on. Comments condemning the general by certain individuals in this column simply indicate their stubborness (or maybe foolishness) in refusing to acknowledge that Indian society has serious problems: india is more racist than any other country in the world - we discriminate against our OWN countrymen on the basis of colour (south/north), language, mannerisms, food habits... you name it.. and we discriminate on the basis of it. Who the 'f@#k' are we kidding!!!! We are patriotic only when it comes to writing about it or talking about it in front of hazaar people. Actions dude.. Actions... they speak louder than words. Look at the treatment meeted out to women on the streets ... in every frikkin city/town in India... visual undressing rules!!! If this is not loss of morality... then you pappus who are critisizing the general... go frikkin home and watch all the stupid dumb ass serials that have so sensitized you into believing that you're in a perfect moral world !!
