When you are coming to public work everybody asks questions. If it is hurts you should stay at your home only. Secondly, Mr.Avi is not talking about her personal life. You are unnecessarily talking her personal life and taking you sympathy gain!

She has accepted Indian citizenship only because of the pressure from Indira Gandhi... Initially she refused to accept which itself is making cleal as what she has always thought for India... Moreover, I didnt said I have any problem about her religion I just said why does she portray herself as Hindu.....

I like periyar. It does not mean that I accept all his thoughts. I also like Gandhi, Vivekananda, Dr.Radhakrishnan. I have read their books. But it does not mean that I accept all their views. I used to pick up the concepts which I think relevant and perfect.

but Periyar has more bad points than good points. He only supported middle-castes, his attitude about lower-castes today is the same as was practised by upper-caste. He just gave a quick fix solution to a deep rooted problem and you guys admire him. Two tumbler system still exists even today in TN and I know the comments he made about Dalits. Also caste has not been eradicated from TN one of the pet dreams, from what i heard even converted christians too marry from their own caste which has converted, he has failed miserably in creating a rational society, 90% of people still believe in caste and superstition. He has just replaced one set of exploiters by another set lol. Wait and watch how Tamil Nadu will burn when the megalomaniacal sons fight it out in public. We already had a sampler 3 guys killed in Madurai

If periyar had not been there still Tamilians would have been slaves under brahmins. Periyar played a major role in creating awareness among people about oppression based on caste.

Periyar was just vindictive against 1 stupid Brahmin and thought and succeded in getting political advantage with his Brahmin Bashing. The other upper caste who were even worse than Brahmins in treating lower castes were on Periyar's side. Dalits are treated really very badly in Tamil nadu and therewas a 60 mnt show on CBS once.BTW Periyar was from AP and he could'nt stand a chance with reddys and kammas there who would have swallowed him so he came to TN found a brahmin Bashing nisch for himself.

Sonia Gandhi is first widow of late Rajiv Gandhi and then a politicians. But alas she has of late became a shrewed politician who wants to gain power by hook or by crook That is why she is tempted to form unholy alliances with people like Karunanidhi. Power intoxicates and absolute power makes one more run after power. Who knows better than Dr manmohan Singh
