From 1991-96 she lead a crackdown on LTTE very hard. The most affected were innocent refugees, some of who were forced out midway through their University and School. Rajiv Gandhi was used as an excuse. At that time only a section of DMK led by Vaiko were LTTE supporters.
After Jaya's actions today:
DMK, MDMK, VCK, PMK, DK, PDK, KMK and many other groups support LTTE openly or indirectly. According to Times of India survey, 69% of TN supported Karunanidhi penning a poem for Thamilchelvan.
Best thing is allow the security and intelligence agencies to do their jobs. Instead of trying to score cheap political points through Rajiv Gandhi.

LTTE lost its support in TN after Rajiv's assassination. But it is a custom in TN to praise one's good qualities and not to abuse when someone whether good or bad died.

so when LTTE chief dies in one of the air-raids your CM will praise LTTE by writing poems on the supposedly great qualities of LTTE Chief

But even if LTTE chief dies no Tamilian will jump into the street to celebrate. These kinds of barbaric events can happen only in states like Gujarat.

you seem to have an obsession with Gujarat. Maybe there can be barbaric celebrations in TN if Rajni movie is released in Chennai

He can do it in his personal capacity and not when he is a chief minister; he has used government agencies and government money, which cannot be condoned.

What is terrorist to you may not be terrorist to another. You make thing Modi is aa hero and most Tamiliansmay have a very poor opinion of him. Tamil Nadu is an important state in India and the opinion of 69% of its population cannot be ignored. When they interview people for opinion polls care is taken that this sample represents the state ( Intis ethnic relgious liguistic amd political makeup) not just DMK supporters.

We only have the right to decide whether he should continue as CM or not.

But the situation is still more favourable to LTTE than what it was before Jaya started a crackdown. THats the point.
