Jaya's anti-ltte legacy
by Jackson on Dec 18, 2007 05:55 PM

From 1991-96 she lead a crackdown on LTTE very hard. The most affected were innocent refugees, some of who were forced out midway through their University and School. Rajiv Gandhi was used as an excuse. At that time only a section of DMK led by Vaiko were LTTE supporters.

After Jaya's actions today:

DMK, MDMK, VCK, PMK, DK, PDK, KMK and many other groups support LTTE openly or indirectly.
According to Times of India survey, 69% of TN supported Karunanidhi penning a poem for Thamilchelvan.

Best thing is allow the security and intelligence agencies to do their jobs. Instead of trying to score cheap political points through Rajiv Gandhi.
